 • Lies and Deception
Condition • Support Area
While you can spot Saruman, the twilight cost of each Free Peoples condition is +1.
Shadow: Spot an minion and discard this condition to play an card from your discard pile.
“‘I was lulled by the words of Saruman the Wise; but I should have sought for the truth sooner, and our peril would now be less.’”
Its not very likely any conditions will be played when saruman is out to be fair, unless its the follower. The ability is REALLY good, maybe add another cost to it? Dunno.
And here’s a reprinted card that works pretty well with it:
Hollowing of Isengard (reprint)
Condition • Support Area
To play, spot an Orc.
Shadow: Discard this condition to add .
“‘Rip them all down!’” |

Now that we’re playing all these Orcs, let’s get some more out of them, eh?
 • The Muster of Isengard
Condition • Support Area
Each time you play an Orc, add an token here.
Shadow: Remove 2 tokens from here to play an minion; that minion’s twilight cost is -1.
Shadow: Remove 3 tokens from here to play an Orc from your draw deck.
“‘Build me an army worthy of Mordor!’”
sweet!
Our Time Is At Hand
Condition • Support Area
To play, spot Saruman.
Each time the fellowship moves, if you can spot Saruman or an Orc, you may remove to draw a card.
“‘Wolves and orcs were housed in Isengard, for Saruman was mustering a great force on his own account, in rivalry of Sauron and not in his service yet.’” |

Saruman, Servant of Sauron? I think its a little underpowered.

Reprint? Yeah, its a great card. |

There seem to be some mixed opinions on Lies and Deception, which usually means it’s fair and balanced.
So, here’s a couple new ones. Enjoy!
The Citadel of Saruman
Condition • Support Area
Each time the fellowship moves, you may spot Saruman and another minion to add .
“Westward he looked and saw...Orthanc, the pinnacle of Isengard, like a black spike.”
This is a semi-reprint of Tower of Orthanc, though hopefully a little more useful.
News of Their Journey
Condition • Support Area
Shadow: Spot Saruman and reveal your hand to reveal the Free Peoples player’s hand.
Shadow: Exert Saruman to reveal a card at random from the Free Peoples player’s hand. The Free Peoples player must place that card on top of or beneath their draw deck. Discard this condition.
“‘But Saruman has many ways of learning news. Do you remember the birds?’”

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

Nah. Not really. Unless you turn out some sort of Forced March.

Nobody. does pretty well to. But this has already been tried and The Palantir of Orthanc ended up on the x-list. Sorry to burst your bubble. |

Blast...good call.
Okay, I tweaked it a bit, and truth be told, I actually like the new and improved version better. How about you? |
