I’d still like to see a more entertaining article, something with more in-depth strategy, something more than a decklist with notes. |

Moved this to the Deck Clinic, for the reasons others have stated. If you’d like to re-submit this to the LOTR TCG Strategy Article Contest, you’ve got some good advice on how to make a real article out of it.
My own advice is to avoid the simple "here’s my deck" approach and find a more exciting angle. For example: "Here’s a deck unlike anything you’ve seen before." Or, "Here’s the proven, definitive version of this decktype." Or, "Here’s the best deck to play in today’s metagame." An approach like this gives readers a reason to be interested, and gives authors something really substantial to write about.
