I like that one better. I was trying to figure out some way to convey the fact that a companion skirmishing two minions (one steeled and one unsteeled) would be able to take more than one wound in a skirmish.

But why have only ONE new keyword? I mean, the entire LotR sets are from the War of the Ring, and stuff, and they have TONS of keywords, so, well, you see what I mean, right? Maybe each culture could have they’re own new keyword! Of course, some of them COULD be present on other cultures, but well.

only the Dwarven and Orc culture should get steeled in my opinion.

Steeled sounds decent. I would say that almost anyone should be able to get the keyword - but the main culture should be either Dwarven or Rohan, as well as Orc or Uruk-hai.

Here’s a fun little idea for a keyword...

Captain
When this character wins a skirmish, you may make a character of the same culture strength +2 until the regroup phase.

For example...

4 •Grishnakh, Foul Orc Orc
Minion • Orc
Strength: 11
Vitality: 3
Site Number: 4
Captain.
While you can spot 3 threats, each other Orc minion is not roaming.

Or maybe captains in the Orc culture could be discarded for twilight during the Shadow phase. You know, captains bring in a bunch of underlings, but they never get into REAL fighting unless they have no other option (meaning, no other minions in your hand to play).
We could also make a loaded keyword to companions that allowed them, under VERY strict (and expensive) circunstancies, create a dead pile for unique minions... Think

There’s a problem with your first one: either it results in free twilight, or it results in a twilight waste: say you’ve got 4 in the pool, and you play a captain for 2. The twilight pool is at 2. If you can discard that captain for 3, you’ve just generated 1 for nothing!

Conditions are generally best for this, such as that one Isengard card that’s not coming to mind...costs 4, is discarded for 3...garrr! What is it??

The second one is a good idea. I’d love to see the look on your opponent’s face when they’ve got a Shelob in hand and a Shelob is in the dead pile! Twisted Evil

One new loaded keyword for each culture?? Shocked

Malice. (Each time this minion wins a skirmish, the Free Peoples player must discard the top card card of his or her draw deck.)

Example:

6 • Shelob, Gloom Weaver Gollum
Minion • Spider
Strength: 8
Vitality: 8
Site Number: 8
Enduring. Malice.
I had to put something here.

thats pretty cool, but its too good, that would lead to a whole new rebirth of the discarding decks (which i personally hate)

How about this:

Slaughter. (Each time this minion wins a skirmish, add 1.)

Example:

3 Orc Oppressor Orc
Minion • Orc
Strength: 8
Vitality: 2
Site Number: 5
Hunter 1. Slaughter.
To play, spot an Orc minion.
