Thanks ym, but yes you can use arb’s as standard companions. Thats why on galdriel and isildur they say whilst bearing the one ring or an artifact, cos there game text can be used without bearing the one ring. Im sure you could make a good deck by using isildur boh as a companion with narsil and make all your knights +1 and use armor of the white tree to make some companions knights etc...

Boromir BoC would be a great companion to use as a non arb as he discards any minion he defeats. Infinite damage!

Any companion that has the keyword Ring-bearer can ONLY be played as the Ring-bearer, whether they have a ringed resistance icon or not. Others with a ringed resistance icon, like the alternate Ring-bearers mentioned, you have a choice with: either use them as the Ring-bearer, or use them as a "normal" companion.

And yes, I think Boromir, Bearer of Council is much, MUCH better without the Ring. Mr. Green

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

I55 wrote an article about that...but there are better boromir’s to use most of the time.

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. Razz
