Makes sense. I was just thinking that the starting fellowship was a special case (something like, you can’t add twilight before the game starts and you can put 4 twilight worth of companions into play. So for Elrohir/Elladan, you use up 3 of that to play the first, and the remaining 1 for the other.)
Which would be interesting with toil companions... |
Our time here is ending...
What did you want to see before the end?
It will be made in the Request-a-card Set #1 (name ideas also welcome ). |

From the Comprehensive Rules 4.0
Twilight Cost
"Cards already in play that affect another card’s twilight cost have that effect only when the card to be modified is coming into play."
So the twilight cost of the card immediately goes back to the printed value once it enters play. So per BattleWarg’s example you would need to remove three tokens to discard it. |

Hey, thanks for that! I’ve been searching for a reason Elladan-Elrohir didn’t cost just . I wasn’t buying that stuff about "imaginary twilight pool". So, not related to this question, but thanks for that! |

Not if you use Narsil, Forged by Telchar or Hope Renewed or Derufin to get rid of Grond first. |

Or Nimble Attack. With all the threats you’re running, might be worth it.
Nimble Attack
Event • Fellowship or Skirmish
Spot 2 companions and add a threat to discard a shadow possession.
17_32 (No rarity! Pulled from booster pack, so not starter.)
This is going to become a staple of wraiths. And IB. |

You’re forgetting the new possession decktype. It’s incredibly good, now that we’ve got Easterling Dispatcher. I predict that Nimble Attack and similar cards like Throne of Minas Tirith will cause a rise in the culture with this new decktype on the loose. |
