Mount Doom also gave us the stupid "When you lose initiative" cards, which are all just begging for an infinite combo.

Yup they were the worst design fault ever. Some cards are just broken and some make loops but as regards gameplay taking advantage of something that is good for the shadow is just wrong. Its like making a card that says "blah blah....wound a minion (or 3 if an opponent controls 2 sites.)"

Losing initiative was BAD it should have stayed that way. Next we’ll start seeing freeps cards that love burdens. Madness!

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. Razz

What is the best way to use the card Glimpse of Fate?
I know that you can use the Hope Comes to draw cards but that doesn’t seem that good.

I love the card Glimpse of Faith in my Telepathy deck. With a few Elves and Gandalf, Manager of Wizards I will loose initiative during skirmish. That way I’ll make a minion strength -4. Once I played against a deck that made me draw cards as a drawback Twisted Evil I lost initiative during maneuver and again during the skirmish...I liked it!

Get to 4 cards in hand. Play Still Needed (triggers GoF) stack it on top of your draw deck. Win the skirmish, use Banner of Elbereth to draw Still Needed. Repeat for each companion who has a Banner of Elbereth.

It also combos nicely with Erland, Dale Counselor.
