in order for this loop to happen frodo must be strength 8.
black land observer is strength 8 also, so he wins... |

The loop can also happen if Frodo has 9 strength, which would mean that Frodo would win.
So basically, if Frodo has 9 then he wins, but if he has 8 then he loses.

Okay, so in this specific situation, Frodo would win.
Should have remembered the loop with no voluntary action, but was in programming frame-of-mind... |

Just as a general guideline, the Online game is not the best as far as rules determinations go. They have had things just plain wrong in the past.
As was said above, given the loop rules in the January 29th CRD, I would rule that the loop would not take place and the skirmish would be resolved by the printed strengths.
Now granted, this only works if Frodo is the only companion who would be strength 10 or more and the Black Land Observer is skirmishing Frodo. This means that Sam would have to be Strength 9 or less as well. |
