Pretty good, not broken, and cool, but definately, Sam, Great Elf Warrior is much better. 3 |

Meh. Who will use this over EW? 3. Not bad but not good. |

Exactly, which is why I snubbed it. I would use either EW or BoGN over this. A 2 from me |

Yeah, kinda wishy-washy. They could’ve made him a tad better. |

Well, I dunno. I’m thinking of doing a Smeagol, Pitiable Guide deck with RB Hobbits. Maybe Sam, Loyal Firend would be useful. He has 3 more resistance than Sam, Great Elf Warrior and has -1 strength. But also the ability to take the ring in Frodo’s death. Maybe the following for a starting fellowship: -
Frodo, Weary from the Journey
The One Ring, Ring of Doom
Bilbo, Aged Ringbearer
Sam, Loyal Friend
Smeagol, Pitiable Guide.
Would any other version of Sam be better in this kind of deck? |

Sam, Great Elf Warrior would be better in that deck unless you have stuff that needs Sam LF’s higher resistance.

What’s so special about this Sam, if you can use Sam, GEW? |

Nothing really, thinking about it! Just the ability to to take the ring if Frodo dies (unlikely, really) and some extra resistance. I may take this in a RB hobbit deck as GEW is only going to get +3 strength at most anyways. Plus he is shiny |

I would use Sam, GEW any day as opposed to this.
