I like the wounding part of Soldier’s Cache (although the fortification will be discarded if you kill the minion).
I don’t like Ring of Savagery as much as Ring of Terror, but Ring of Savagery is still decent.

Let’s say you have 0 Ents in play. You play Merry or Pippin. They add 1 to the number of Ents. 0 + 1 = 1. Therefore, Merry and Pippin allow you to play Ent Draught without having a real Ent in play.
Thanks Bib! I figured that was the way it worked. That’ll really help my deck.

Yeah, if Merry or Pippin couldn’t do what Bib said, they’d have "If you spot an Ent, add 1 to the number of Ents you can spot."
Word. Fun cards. |

When I came to Abraham I let him live just a moment longer. When I came to Moses I saved his life more than once. But the salmon... I regret to say I had a hand in its death.

so merry and pippin work with cards that make you "spot x ents to make and ent damage +x and strength +x"
right? so if you have three ents out and merry and pippin, you would have five ents right? |

That card makes me DROOL!
And, again, I like how the colors in the picture match the card itself.

I disagree. Now, I should probably check the Comp. 4.0, but the Hunters rulebook said that "To play, spot an Elf." was equivalent to "An elf must be in play and active for you to play this card."
However, there are cards, like Quickbeam, that don’t spot an Ent, but that do spot a certain number of Ents. This is an entirely different case altogether. It’s similar to the Fellowship having an archery total when you can’t spot an archer. (or the Shadow, as per Anduin Banks)
So while you can spot 1 Ent, you can’t spot an Ent.
And the gametext is worded simply, because the designers never thought of this.

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. |
