NBarden wins this one.
Chill out guys, it’s all in good fun. Just for the record, the best result for sperzdechly would have been a tie, and I would have broken it in NBarden’s favor by casting a vote myself. Both submissions are well-written and look like solid decks given the limitations, but I like the Rangers a hair better.

I’ve had a report that some people might be spamming the Rise of Saruman spoiler threads to take advantage of the ongoing RoS challenge; I have not observed this myself, but I’ve clarified to rules anyway to make sure it’s absolutely clear that any sort of spamming or other laziness won’t do any good. The additions have been edited into the original post on page 8 of this thread.
Note that the Rise of Saruman spoiler challenge is not something you could do all in a day. It’s mostly intended for the folks who are already in the habit of reviewing new cards and arguing strategy points, to reward their contributions and coax a little more out of them. (Webmasters LOVE this sort of thing...)

I just want to clarify, that this is not about winning/loosing.
It’s about obeying the rules ("The deadline for this event (which I’ll try to stick to this time) is Friday, January 19 at midnight CST; over the weekend we’ll take a vote to determine the best design!") and playing fair. |

As I said - this is not about the result. Congratulation.
No, I have no hard feelings. |

Here’s a new pair of challenges!
The Prizes:
Two copies of the promo version of Eomer, Keeper of Oaths, card number 0 P 49, commemorating the release of the Siege of Gondor set.
Challenge A:
Design one or more LOTR TCG dream cards titled (or subtitled) "Keeper of [Something]." A quick search for "keeper of" will show some examples; be sure not to choose a card name that already exists!
Challenge B:
Design one or more LOTR TCG dream cards dealing with the theme of "oaths." This could be as simple as a boost for the Gondor Wraiths ("oathbreakers") strategy. Or it could be something more complex and original -- for example, a card that makes your opponent correctly give some information or promise to do something, or else be punished.
Each of these challenges will have a dedicated thread in the LOTR TCG Dream Cards forum. On January 30 at midnight CST, polls will be added, and the votes will determine the winner for each challenge. Each winner takes a copy of the Eomer promo card. (If one person wins both challenges, that person will get both copies.)
Good luck! |

Hey Cobra, is the RoS challenge done? It’s the end of January, but only about half of the cards have been spoiled so far.
Also, when does voting for the DC contests end?

Yes, the Rise of Saruman spoiler challenge was only through January. You were one of two users who reviewed all the cards. (NBarden was the other.)
I’ll declare a winner for the Dream Card challenge sometime over the weekend. |

Wow, thanks Cobra! I got my cards today. Several were just what I needed; Easterling Army and Ulaire Attea, Keeper of Dol Guldur were definitely my favorites. |
