The magic touch was the flavor text referring to "Sicky." Wink
I had to put something here.

I’m not sure I can vote for those. I’d feel wrong voting for either one. Razz

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

The guidline was a parody card, no restrictions on playability.

All right, deadline expired three hours 6 minutes ago my time, and I’m pretty sure that most of you are not in a time zone earlier than the Alaska/Aleutian time zone. If you are and would like to submit a card, give me your time zone and I’ll see if your eligible.

Here are the DCs.

Dain Ironfoot

2Swarm of Midges Wraith
Harasser
Strength -1
Resistance -1
Hinder3 (or 1 if the fellowship is at a marsh).
Each time you transfer this to a Hobbit, you may add a burden.
Bearer cannot heal.
“‘I am being eaten alive! Midgewater! There are more midges than water!’ ‘What do they live on when they can’t get hobbit?’”

Author Comments: I kept trying to think of more menacing harassers, like the Eye of Sauron or Gríma or something like that. But I kept coming back to the midges of Midgewater Marshes. Their part was small, but they truly victimized Aragorn and the Hobbits of the early Fellowship. I just couldn’t NOT make them into a Harasser, so here they are, in all their biting, itching, scratching glory. Twisted Evil

Too powerful? I certainly hope not. I kept in mind similar cards like Black Dart and Treacherous Little Toad as I made it. I THINK this is balanced, especially since it’s SO expensive when not at a marsh. The strength reduction is somewhat obvious, and the resistance is partially inspired by Neekerbreekers’ Bog. The rest just kind of wrote itself.

Hope you like it! I know Hobbits certainly won’t! Twisted Evil

Once again, we are treated to D_I’s perfect formatting. Is that enough to win him the contest? Or will his lack of a rarity dock him some votes? I’m saying, no, he’s gonna have to try to win it on how good his card actually is. Wink

2 • Grima, Vile Corrupter Men
Harasser
Strength -2.
Resistance -2.
Hinder - Add a burden.
Bearer must be a Man.
Each time bearer loses a skirmish, add 1.

Well...there’s a hindrance for you! It lacks the extensive analysis and history of the making section that D_I included, but I again think that maybe the contest should come down to a battle of the cards.

Anxious Chieftain

2 •Gollum, False Guide Gollum
Harasser
Strength -1
Resistance -2
Hinder - remove 2 threats.
While bearer has 0 resistance, bearer is strength -2.
Reponse: If the fellowship moves during the regroup phase, transfer this harasser from a companion to your support area to exert 2 companions.

No rarity? That’ll hurt him. Of course, it’ll hurt everyone else who didn’t submit a rarity as well...which is...everybody. Oh well...I guess that just puts him on an equal footing with everyone else in the battle of the cards.

Contest open for voting! Let the votes begin!

Yeah, I’d like to know the same thing.

I actually noticed that none of the cards prevented the harasser from being transferred to the Ring-bearer...so cards like Swarm of Midges and Grima are incredibly powerful in the corruption arena, especially without a lot of enforcement.

I vote for AC, because his was the least-broken entry, and the most interesting.
