Heh, I don’t think this thing of "I’ll make a follower, because it’s a creative spin on things." is working. 0 for 2 so far... |

Matchup #1:
DainIronfoot automatically advances, since Eomer3rdMarshal dropped out. But here’s his card, anyway.
 • Imrahil, Advisor of the King
Companion • Man
Strength: 7
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 7
Knight. To play, spot Denethor or a knight.
Each time a minion loses a skirmish involving a knight, you may exert Imrahil to wound that minion.
Skirmish: Exert Imrahil and spot Denethor or Gandalf to make each knight strength +1.
“‘That is a fair lord and a great captain of men....’”
Until the regroup phase. That would have docked you BAD if E3M had submitted a card.
Matchup #2:
Corvus
 • Imrahil, Advisor of the King
Companion • Man
Strength: 8
Vitality: 4
Recistance: 6
Knight
To play, spot a knight or exert 2 men.
While an opponent does not control a site, Imrahil is strength +1 and damage +1.
Each time the fellowship moves during the regroup phase, you may discard 2 free peoples cards to liberate a site, or heal a companion.
The prince of Dol Amroth was one of the best warriors and finest advisors a king could ask for.
Messing with the vital stats, big no-no. See Imrahil, Prince of Dol Amroth. You broke every rule.
legoles3333
 • Imrahil, Advisor to the King
Strength: 7
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 6
Knight. Damage +1.
While you can spot a fortification, Imrahil is strength +1.
Skirmish: Exert Imrahil or spot three knights to make an unbound companion strength +3, if that companion loses that skirmish, discard Imrahil.
"In the great fief of Belfalas, dwelt Prince Imrahil in his castle of Dol Amroth by the sea."
Nice. Somewhat overpowered, see Imrahil, Prince of Dol Amroth.
Matchup #3:
Anonymous Prodigy
 • Imrahil, Advisor of the King
Companion • Man
Strength: 7
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 7
Knight. Hunter 1.
To play, spot 2 Men (or a knight).
Each time Imrahil wins a skirmish, you may draw a card.
Regroup: Exert Imrahil and discard a card from hand to reveal a Shadow player’s hand.
”….Prince Imrahil with the men of Dol Amroth tall and fair….”
What’s with the lore? Oh well. Nice.
thonnas7
 •Imrahil, Advisor to the King
Companion • Man
Strength: 7
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 7
Damage +1. Knight.
Fellowship: Exert Imrahil twice and add to play a hand weapon on him from your draw deck or discard pile.
Skirmish: If Imrahil bears a hand weapon, exert him to exert a minion he is skirmishing.
Rare
Hm...nice card, but doesn’t fit the subtitle as well as AP’s. Remember, he’s an advisor to the king here, and not necessarily fighting ATM.
Matchup #4:
Sickofpalantirs
 •Imrahil, Advisor to the King
Strength: 7
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 7
Knight.
To play, spot 2 men. Aragorn is strength +1.
Manuever: Exert Imrahil to reveal the top card of your draw deck, if it is a card, you may reinforce a token (or two tokens if it was a fortification. Limit twice)
R
Limit twice? Duh. He has three vitality. If you want to go through the effort of healing him in he maneuver phase or slapping a vitality + card on him, let him. All you get is one reinforcement, or maybe two.
bobtheorc
 •Imrahil, Advisor of the King
Companion • Man
Strength: 7
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 6
Knight. To play spot 3 men, or 2 knights.
Skirmish: Exert Imrahil to wound a minion bearing a fortification.
Regroup: Discard a a fortification borne by a minion to heal
Imrahil.
"Imrahil was strong and wise, a true and valiant man of Gondor...."
Rare
Whoa! Powerful! But balances, his spotting requirement COMPLETELY removes him from the starting fellowship. Perfect DC
Matchup #5:
Anxious Chieftain
 •Imrahil, Advisor of the King
Companion • Man
Strength: 7
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 7
Knight. While you can spot another knight, Imrahil is twilight cost -1.
While Imrahil is skirmishing a minion bearing a fortification, he gains captain.
(For those who don’t know what captain is, I’ll add the explaination. Captain: Each time this character wins a skirmish, you may make a character of the same culture strength +2).
Made up keywords? No. Made up keywords are no-nos in DC sets.
CarpeGuitarrem
 •Imrahil, Advisor of the King
Follower
Aid-Exert a companion.
While bearer is a Man, each knight is strength +1.
Even after the War of the Ring, Imrahil aided Elessar in his military ventures.
WHOA! There’s a twist I didn’t see coming! Sweet!
Matchup #6:
Mouth of Saruman
 • Imrahil, Advisor of the King
Companion • Man
Strength: 7
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 6
Knight. To play, exert 2 Men (or spot 2 knights).
While you can spot more minions than companions, each knight is strength +1.
Each time your knight wins a skirmish, you may exert Imrahil to draw a card.
"...he was of high blood, and his folk also, tall men and proud with sea-grey eyes."
Hm...he can get crammed into the starting fellowship with Gondorian Prowler or Aragorn, Strider, but that’s it. And having to exert that guy and the ring-bearer top the start of the game...I would have cut back on his spotting requirement. He’s a sweet companion, but not so powerful that he can’t be started easily.
Celebrimbor
 •Imrahil, Advisor to the King
Companion • Man
Strength: 7
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 7
Knight. Damage +1.
Imrahil is strength +1 for each fortification you can spot over 3.
At the start of each skirmish involving Imrahil, you may discard 2 cards from hand to transfer a fortification from your discard pile to a minion he is skirmishing.
"He was of high blood, and his folk also, tall men and proud..."
Okay, this is so broken its...its...argh. Overpowered? Sixth Level, Fifth Level, CotS, Seventh Level, I would run tons of crazy fortifications with Imrahil and make a new killer deck. Plus, the ability of Gondor bow on everyone else? Whoa! And then damage +1 on top of it? Sorry, to powerful
So, let voting begin!
The first round voting will end on wednesday, April 11.
1: DI. By default. Error in card made skirmish ability useless.
2: legoles3333. Also by default, Corvus messed with vital stats
3: AP. Very close. But AP’s has the feel of an advisor to the king, while t7 was more of a warrior. Different subtitle, different results. Shows you how close it was.
4: BtO. Duh. His card was PURE SWEETNESS! He needs to PM it to Brad. Except that Knights are out of style. And Brad isn’t designing anymore. But still sweet, very balanced, save the Gondor Bow for someone else.
5: CG. AC’s use of a made up keyword, however widely accepted, rules him out, IMO.
6: MoS. very slightly underpowered, CB’s was so OVERPOWERED it wasn’t funny. Try to go for something other than a stomp everything with a tank bigger than Sauron. |

Why? That cuts down on the creativity of cards if people don’t ever think up new keywords for DC sets.
I don’t want you to change your vote, but that is a statement I definitely disagree with.

1. Dain
2. Corvus (legolas’s card was cooler and had the correct stats, but he also had an ability that could be used an unlimited amount of times)

I do disagree with the thing about "messing with vital stats is a no-no". Check out Aragorn, Driven by Need. Vital stats are very changeable, as long as you don’t change the character. |

Just a few posts ago, i was about to write the exact same thing, thanks CG.
There are no correct stats just because Brad or some other loser made them like that. The game has many balance problems, and stats are a great problem in that. Some examples:
Hobbits can take about the same number of wounds as Sauron.
Shelob can take about double the wounds Sauron can.
The Cave Troll is about the same strength as the Balrog.
Castamir is about the same strength as Sauron when exhausted.
Gandalf is usually as strong as any strong man...
A guard of the white tower has the same power os Faramir and Boromir
I can think if many more monstrocities that the new designers have made, and i certainly do NOT agree with them. Imrahil is the prince of Dol Amroth, so i expect him to be as strong as Aragorn since he had an equally good training. |

as previously said, that is crud. imrahil was made off of the character in the movies IMO because if he had been made off the character in the book, he would have been better then eomer, and roughly as good as aragorn

In my defense, with ranger’s cloak and saga of elendil, getting him more vitality isn’t tough.

no way if they have an explanation, which it did they are great, I just get peeved when they don’t.
