Here’s a couple cards that work with both Hobbits AND burdens. Enjoy!

1 Hobbit-Lore Gandalf
Event • Maneuver
Exert Gandalf and spot a Ring-bound Hobbit to make a companion resistance +1 for each Hobbit you can spot until the regroup phase (and heal that companion if you cannot spot a Hobbit companion with resistance 4 or less).
“‘Soft as butter they can be, and yet sometimes as tough as old tree-roots. I think it likely that some would resist the Rings far longer than most of the Wise would believe.’”

1 Goodbye, Dear Bilbo Gandalf
Event • Response
If a Hobbit is discarded, exert Gandalf to remove a burden or a threat.
“‘...until our next meeting.’”

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

I like it balanced, powerful, but not too much. GP!

I like this card, although I could see it getting out of hand easily. I think it should require Gandalf to exert.

whoa that goes in a merry, learned guide or pippin, wooly-footed rascal 3 hunters deck, raise the cost to 2 maybe even 3 cause you could also use the ally treebeard that stacks discarded hobbits to like *shrugs shoulders*

This would wreck burden decks at site 9 you would be invincible but thats quite specialised so think its ok. But what phase do you use it seeing as its a condition?

Needs to be Exert Gandalf or costs 3 otherwise the potential exploitation is extreme. Nice idea though Thumbs Up

Make it an event and I would like it.

Cool! I would even suggest dropping the cost to 0, since the effect isn’t so strong. I mean, it’s just ONE burden or threat, and you have to have a Hobbit discarded and spot Gandalf.

Oops. I think Hobbit-Lore was SUPPOSED to be an event and I was just zoning out when I made it. Razz Fixed now. I also changed Goodbye, Dear Bilbo to exerting Gandalf. Thanks for the reviews, all! Thumbs Up

Continuing his Swiss Army knife ways, here’s some anti-Wizard cards for Gandalf to play with, something I think he should have had a LONG time ago already. I love Gandalf’s sassiness in the scene he describes between him and Saruman during the Council of Elrond; much cooler in the book than in the movie, in my opinion. Despite the lack of fighting in the novel, Gandalf riles up Saruman much more and has some of his best lines in the whole trilogy. Laughing

Anyway, here’s the cards. Enjoy!

Response: If a spell is played, exert Gandalf to exert a Wizard minion.
Maneuver: Spot your Gandalf Wizard and discard this condition to discard an Isengard condition.
“‘And he that breaks a thing to find out what it is has left the path of wisdom.’”

1 No Longer Concealed Gandalf
Event • Response
If a minion exerts, exert your Gandalf Wizard (or spot Gandalf) to exert that minion (or wound that minion if it is a Wizard).
“‘Well, the choices are, it seems, to submit to Sauron, or to yourself. I will take neither. Have you others to offer?’”

Unheeded for Wizards. I decided to make this a little weaker (1 instead of 0, exerting most minions instead of wounding), but I think it needed it.

I would drop the cost to 0. Smile

This is fine, i would make it cost 2 and say spot Gandalf to exert though. But nice idea for unheeded for Gandalf.

Made AP’s recommended change to the first one and lem0n’s recommended change to the second one. Thanks, guys!
