At the start of each skirmish involving Beren, exert 3 companions or add 2 burdens.
Skirmish: If Beren bears The Oath or an Artifact, exert him to exert a minion (or wound a  minion).
But Beren laughed. ’For little price,’ he said, ’do Elven-kings sell their daughters: for gems, and things made by craft. But if this be your will, Thingol, I will perform it.

When you play Beren, you may add a culture token to every Free Peoples card with a culture token on it.
Skirmish: Remove a token to make Beren strength +2 (limit +4).
Skirmish: Remove an token to make a minion skirmishing Beren strength -2 (limit -4).
There Beren buried his fathers bones, and raised a cairn of boulders above him, and swore upon it an oath of vengeance. |

I have no idea how important minions are in your set or how many there are, but as a general rule I prefer texts that aren’t limited to a single culture.

Just like all the versions of The One Ring have the same title, I think all your Oaths should also have the same title. This one would be ’Oath, Oath of Beren’ and the Turin one would be ’Oath, Oath of Turn’ or something - I think it makes more sense. And I think that all ’rings’ should add burdens for taking wounds, so I’d probably replace threat with burden. Interesting card, though.

Take out the add . Nice.

Great subtitles. This one is a LOT better than the other one. Make him cost or reduce the adding ability and limit the removing abilities.

I don’t think you need all the "alternate oath-bearer" stuff, since he has a ringed resistance, and "artifact" doesn’t need to be capitalized. You also forgot a closing ’ in the lore. I partially agree with Thran about the skirmish ability...perhaps allow it to exert any ol’ minion, but wound that minion if it is .

Instead of "bearer", I think you can (and should) say "Beren"...unless there’s a loophole somewhere that lets someone other than Beren bear this.

I think "each" would be better than "every". I’d also put a cap on each of those skirmish abilities...+4 (MAYBE +6) and -4 should be good. |

I’ll think a few of the changes over.
The reason the first Beren is worse than the second is that we need all rarities in a set; the first is a common, and the other is a rare.
Anways, about Beren’s cost/stats, I was wanting him to be able to start with Luthien, so should I make them;
Beren: 2/6/3/7
Luthien: 2/5/3/7
or
Beren: 3/7/3/7
Luthien: 1/3/4/7

How about the first one but with Beren at and Luthien’s twilight cost being -1 while you can spot Beren? I really think that Beren needs (the second one does at any rate).
