Me neither Thran but the situation might call for it depending on what deck your facing. Its versatile this way.

Exactly. That’s why I love making 1-cost toil 1 events. Very Happy

I’m running out of Dwarven cards! I’ll have to come up with some more, and soon, if they’re going to keep up with Moria. Well, here’s one:

1Deep Kheled-zâram Dwarven
Condition
Tale. To play, spot 3 Dwarven cards. Plays on a mountain site.
Each Dwarf at a mountain or underground site is resistance +1.
Response: If the fellowship moves from this site, heal each Dwarf with resistance 5 or more. Discard this condition.
“They stooped over the dark water. At first they could see nothing. Then slowly they saw the forms of the encircling mountains mirrored in a profound blue, and the peaks were like plumes of white flame above them; beyond there was a space of sky. There like jewels sunk in the deep shone glinting stars, though sunlight was in the sky above. Of their own stooping forms no shadow could be seen.”

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

Each dwarf is resistance +1 whilst at that site or generally? Apart from that unclarity (is that a word?); quality Thumbs Up

Lem0n’s right again! Though if ’unclarity’ is a word, I don’t like it.

Here’s an unusual pump. Not only does it pump outside of the skirmish phase, and not only does it pump something OTHER than strength, but it adds a rare keyword as well. Smile Enjoy!

2 Strength of Heart Dwarven
Event • Maneuver
Make a Dwarf strength +2 and resistance +1 until the regroup phase. Then, if that Dwarf has resistance 5 or more, you may heal him (or heal him twice if he is Ring-bound).

Erm 2 questions.

1. Why would you want to do that?

2. Do you really want to mess with the meta of companions being ringbound and unbound?

1.) Yes, I do. There are several advantages to a companion being Ring-bound.

2.) Yes, and I already have with some other cards. Mostly, only the original Nine Walkers and a couple others (Arwen and Faramir) can become Ring-bound, but I wanted an exception or two for "short-term" Ring-bound companion potential. There are many existing pros to having a bunch of Ring-bound companions, and I think they’re very well balanced by just as many serious cons. I’ll be adding more cards to support both sides, too.

So, do you like the idea or hate it?

I just think that its an established rule that only certain companions should be ringbound, those that aided the ring going to mount doom, mainly frodo and sam. Maans lots of cards that reference ringbound companions can be taken advantage of by companions they werent designed to help.

The card is fine, i just think its tricky negotiatiing making any random dwarf bound to the ring in the quest to mount doom.

But hey as your other thread title suggests youre already reluctantly changing tack once cos of me so i best not cause you any more grief so just ignore me!

Weird. I might make it cost 2 with some toil - I think it’s a bit good for 1.
