Alright, made some tweaks. Thanks for all the reviews!
Just one more for now, but he’s (hopefully) a nice one. I bet you can guess which Treachery and Deceit card inspired him. Enjoy!
•Watcher of the Harad Road, Ranger of the South
Companion • Man
Strength: 5
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 7
Ranger.
Assignment: Assign a roaming minion to this companion to make that minion lose fierce and all ambush bonuses until the regroup phase.
Skirmish: Exert a ranger with resistance 5 or more to make that ranger gain hunter 1 (or hunter 2 if skirmishing a Man).

Id change the text to Assignment: Assign a minion to this companion to make it lose fierce and ambush and unable to gain fierce and ambush until the regroup phase. I know its longer it just seems more right. Maybe im just talking a load of flapdoodle. Sound. |

I agree with lem0n, but this guy just seems far too good. That condition only gives hunter 1 and costs without any stats whatsoever. I’d change the first one to hunter 1 and the brackets to hunter 2.

If you make the first bit an assignment ability, I believe you’d be able to assign many minions to him rather than the standard 1 minion. It’s fine the way it is.
But too powerful! Drop the resistance to 6, and - like Thranduil said - the hunter bonuses by one each and I’d call him acceptable. |

No, that’s not true. Once a companion is assigned to a minion, you can’t assign another minion to them because they’re already assigned.

Tweaked in a manner similiar to how many recommended. His assignment text is not QUITE like lem0n suggested, but that’s because I intended for the persistant Shadow player to be able to add fierce and ambush back if they had some method of doing so. I figured completely shutting those down AND having the skirmish ability would be too much. Plus it saves on a bit of text.
Here’s one more ranger, a fellow I’m surprised people haven’t inquired about yet, seeing as his absence to this point has been pretty glaring...at least to me. Anyway, enjoy!
•Madril, Faithful Advisor
Companion • Man
Strength: 5
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 7
Ring-bound. Ranger. Hunter 1.
Each time the fellowship moves to a sanctuary, forest, or underground site, you may spot 3 rangers to heal a companion.
At the start of each maneuver phase, you may exert a ranger and discard a card from hand to make a minion site number +2 until the regroup phase.
