that sounds better
I’m also going to use this opportunity to post some simple companions. The first one I have a bit of a problem with name-wise, because there are two completely separate accounts to the origin of Amroth (the Elf after which Dol-Amroth is named). By one account, he is the son of Galadriel and Celeborn and became King of Lorien before dying when his parents took up the post. By the other, his father was Amdir, the King of Lorien, who died in the Last Alliance and so he became the new king. So, my problem is whether to call this first character Amroth or Amdir (because in the second tale, Amroth only comes into his own in the Third Age which is not true of the first). Certainly, Amdir is a later version of the story. Any preferences?
I am so confused...
 • Amdir, King of Lorien
Companion • Elf
Str: 7
Vit: 3
Res: 7
Archer. Stalwart - exert or heal a minion.
While you can spot 2 Elves, Amdir’s twilight cost is -1.
really really needs lore
 • Celeborn, Kinsman of Thingol
Companion • Elf
Str: 6
Vit: 3
Res: 7
While you can spot Galadriel, Celeborn’s twilight cost is -1.
Maneuver: Exert Celeborn to heal another Elf bearing an artifact.
Maneuver: Exert Celeborn to choose an opponent who must discard their artifact from play.
I guess...
 • Celebrian, Daughter of Galadriel
Companion • Elf
Str: 3
Vit: 3
Res: 7
While you can spot Celeborn and Galadriel, Celebrian’s twilight cost is -1.
Fellowship: Exert Celebrian to take into hand an event from your draw deck.
or discard pile IMSO
She married Elrond, by the way, and left for the West some time in the Third Age I think.

It’s something like she got hit by a poisoned arrow so took one of the ships from Mithlond - I don’t remember the story off-hand. Nevertheless, I’m pretty sure that was Third Age.

I think I’ve more or less finished the culture, and I’ll take a little side-track to mirror the Tower of Barad-Dur with an equally legendary card:
• Nimloth, The White Tree of Numenor
Artifact • Support Area
Legendary (Shadow players must remove in addition to any other costs in order to discard this card. When discarded, this card goes to the dead pile)
Each Man with resistance 6 or more gains "Stalwart - exert or heal a minion."
Each time a Man wins a skirmish, you may make another Man resistance +2 until the regroup phase.
While Nimloth is in the dead pile, each Man is resistance -4.

I think its fine, its not OP if anything with the resistance punishment if dead its maybe slightly UP. But ok as is. SoP is of course right about the scary oversight on the legendary requirement! |

I’ve been getting ridiculously few emails through this forum, so I’m pushing on even though hardly anyone is reading these days!
I fancy some cards, so here’s a few:
• Elros, Son of Earendil
Companion • Man
Str: 8
Vit: 4
Res: 7
While you can spot 3 artifacts, Elros gains "Stalwart - discard a possession or artifact."
Fellowship: Exert Elros twice to play a Man from your draw deck.
He was obviously Elrond’s brother who became the first King of Numenor, choosing to be a Man rather than an Elf, for both of them were Half-Elven (Peredhil in Elvish, hence the next card:)
Peredhil
Condition
Vit: +1
Res: +1
Bearer must be Elros or Elrond. Limit 1 per bearer.
If bearer is Elrond and he wins a skirmish, you may heal a companion.
If bearer is Elros and he wins a skirmish, you may play a legendary artifact from your draw deck.
Life Beyond Mortals
Condition • Support Area
Each time the fellowship moves, add a threat or a burden.
Response: If a Man is about to take a wound, discard a card from play to prevent that wound.
One of the interesting things of / in this set is that the Elves are very good at removing threats, but the Numenoreans aren’t but tend to add quite a few.

Erm this needs unique, or limit 1 per bearer. Really badly. Other than that its fine.

You’re right in that he’s out of sync with Gil-galad and Elendil, but I wanted him to have the same stats as Elrond.
