I think they are parody cards.

I hope so, becuase I will not be creating any MTG cards.

ditto thonnas7 as previously said, I joined for an LOTR TCG DC Contest but a parody thing would be interesting.

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. Razz

YOU WANT US TO JUDGE UNHINGED? R U SERIOUS?

I think i have no right to, since the persons who made it knew by far better than me what they were doing. Moreover, i have no feeling of what the unhinged should look like... Any suggestions?

Guys, guys, I just said to get the feeling on what they’ve done there. That’s it. This IS a LotR Contest, and as I said before, we should always try new things. And yeah, you pretty much guessed, it’ll have to do with parodies, to see how "getting crazy" applies to you guys. I directed you there because I didn’t knew of no other card game that has ever done TWO "parody" sets before. Also, I know Christmas is close, and ALSO I’m packing to move into my new house, so I’ll be internet-less for a while. I’ll post the challenge NEXT Sunday (to give you guys some time to absorb the ideas of the cards, and to think where you’d go with doing something similar in LotR. I’ll ALSO give you guys quite some time to do it, so you don’t have to ruin your Xmas over it, I wouldn’t want THAT on my conscience! Wink For now, just read the flavor texts, abilities and etc, and take some good laughs. Oh, yeah, one I’m specially fond of, check "Knight of the Hokey-Pokey"! So, are you all more calm now? It has nothing to do with MTG, those are just guidelines, "research material". Card designers do that all the time, I mean, entire Card Games were created off of research on MTG, LotR included.

Can you imagine HOW crazy one can get with LotR DC’s, going by THOSE rules? It’s gonna be fun! Laughing

Was kinda hoping for the next LOTR Challenge, but looks like we have to wait ’til christmas is over. I understand, maybe you do need a break, with moving and all.

Oh, and ________________ was hilarious. It’s exactly the type of dry humor I like. My favorites of that parody set were the ones that make fun of actual rules, like Nightmare, Hokey Pokey, and Pointy Finger of Doom.

Actually, I’ll be posting the challenge here soon. I’lljust give YOU guys more time to take care of it, due to Christmas and all. But stay tuned, it’ll be here anytime...
Oh, yes, and since Aragorn_Elessar actually dropped out, instead of simply missing a challenge, Glamdring will be taking his place, unless someone has something against that.

Ok, since I’ll be moving to our new house today and tomorrow, it’s possible that I may be out of internet connection for a while, not to mention I’ll be travelling to Argentina from January 5th to January 11th. Because of this, I’m posting the challenge today, and I’ll give you until January 11th to complete it, so it’s PLENTY of time.
I want 16 cards from each one of you, based on the kinds of cards you hopefully studied these days. They can be ANY kind of card, and any rarity, although I want AT LEAST 3 commons and 3 uncommons.
The cards are to be split into two sections of 8 cards each. For the first part, I want 8 cards that directly relate (either by title or by flavor text, or both) to a quote from the Princess Bride. For those of you not familiar with this, click here.
Then, the NEXT section of 8 cards will be entirely hand-made by you, in a parody fashion, so go crazy!
For the round, each card WILL have an analysis, but they’ll have only one overall grade (which means pledgingfor the round will be a whole lot easier this time).
Well, that’s it for now, start working! And if I can’t log in until then, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, everyone of you!
I don't like YOU.
