Sorry. I’ve been away from the computer for a few days. Entry’s on its way.
Riddle 9
When I came to Abraham I let him live just a moment longer. When I came to Moses I saved his life more than once. But the salmon... I regret to say I had a hand in its death.

Who am I?

Ok so here are the entries:

lem0n

0 Awoke In The Darkness Moria
Event • Skirmish
Spot The Balrog at an underground site to make it strength +3 (and damage +1 if at a battleground).
"Moria. You fear to go into those mines. The Dwarves delved too greedily and too deep."

SoP

1 Weapons of Fire Moria
Event • Shadow
Exert the Balrog to play Moria artifact from your draw deck or discard pile. Then if you can spot a Wizard, you may exert a companion.
The Balrog’s weapons seemed to come from his own fiery body

m64

0 Dark Foe Chasing Moria
Event • Response
If the fellowship moves again this turn, play The Balrog from your draw deck; its twilight cost is -5. Until the end of the turn, each time The Balrog is assigned to skirmish a companion, the Free Peoples player must discard from play a card of that companion’s culture.
"The dark figure streaming with fire raced towards them."

AP

0 The Darkness Grew Moria
Event • Maneuver
Exert The Balrog twice to choose one: discard 3 cards at random from the Free Peoples player’s hand; add a burden and a threat; or discard a Free Peoples artifact or possession. You may exert The Balrog again to shuffle this card into your draw deck.
”It came to the edge of the fire and the light faded as if a cloud had bent over it.”

AC

0 Black Despair Moria
Event • Response
If a companion is killed in a skirmish involving The Balrog, add a burden (or two burdens if that companion is Gandalf).
"Grief at last wholly overcame them, and they wept long...."

Thran

0 Hurrying Feet Moria
Event * Shadow
Choose one: spot The Balrog to play a Moria Orc from your discard pile; spot The Balrog at an underground site to play a Moria minion from your draw deck; or spot 3 Moria Orcs to play The Balrog from your draw deck or discard pile.
The ranks of the orcs had opened, and they crowded away as if they themselves were afraid. Something was coming up behind them.

Dain

1 Dread Was In His Eyes Moria
Event • Maneuver
Exert The Balrog to exert a companion with resistance 4 or less (or wound that companion if it is a Dwarf). You may take the next maneuver action.
“‘Indeed I saw upon the bridge that which haunts our darkest dreams. I saw Durin’s Bane.’”

mm

1 The Horns of a Demon Moria
Event • Maneuver
Exert the Balrog twice to discard a free-peoples condition or possession.

Vote deadline is Tuesday, voting is compulsary for those contestants above. Everyone else please just vote anyway!

As always vote for your favourite 3 in order of preference.

This is the last proper round. The next will be a "bonus" round for some extra silly points!

Thanks!

Best regards, Dáin, Vice Aftokrator of the Chosen Ones

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

What was wrong with my card, guys? Or were there too many good cards to choose from? Very Happy

Or maybe you guys thought that Thran made it, since his name was beneath it... whereas the name of the creator is above the card in this contest. Oh well, I’m just curious as to whether I made a mistake or something when I made it. Very Happy
