Horn-call of Buckland
Condition • Support Area
When you play this condition, add a token here for each Hobbit and follower you can spot.
If a Shadow card with a twilight cost of (X) is played, remove X tokens from here to return that card to its owner’s hand.
“‘AWAKE! FEAR! FIRE! FOES! AWAKE!’”
how about discard that card? otherwise it seems to bad. |

Really? I thought the fact that it could do that to ANY Shadow card (possessions, minions, conditions, etc.) made it pretty darn useful.
Anybody else think I should make it discard instead of return to hand? |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

It’s more and less powerful than Grond. This one doesn’t have text to get more tokens, but it doesn’t require exerting or discarding when it uses its ability, either. Plus it can stop cards cold before they have ANY effect--even events--unlike Grond. If anything, I’d say it’s a touch better than Grond is.
I like it the way it is now. |

Well if anyone else has comments on the new and improved Horn-call of Buckland, feel free to shout it out. Otherwise....
Hobbit Sword
Possession • Hand Weapon
Strength +2
Bearer must be a Hobbit.
“‘Sharp blades are good to have, if Shire-folk go walking, east, south, or far away into dark and danger.’”
The old stand-by. If you don’t like it, blame Decipher.
Blade of the Barrows
Possession • Hand Weapon
Strength +1
Bearer must be a Hobbit companion.
Bearer gains hunter 1.
Skirmish: Reveal a tale or skirmish event from hand and add a threat to make bearer strength +2 (limit +4). You may not reveal that card again in this way for the rest of the turn.
“For each of the hobbits he chose a dagger, long, leaf-shaped, and keen, of marvellous workmanship, damasked with serpent-forms in red and gold....the blades seemed untouched by time, unrusted, sharp, glittering in the sun.”
I figured Hobbits could finally use another option to the old Hobbit Sword. In general, the old one is still better, but this new one obviously has potential to get much better when you need it. Comes with plenty of risk, sure, but if you plan it right, you can easily get a +3 or more boost when you need it. |

Well, aren’t you feeling evil today? Recommending 6-strength hunter 2 damage +1 generic companions, and now turning Hobbits into tanks. I’ll do what you recommended, but only if I also increase the cost to . Deal? |
