And it’s as if these guys come with their own ring!

Funny you should mention that.... Rolling Eyes

0Ring of Rampancy Wraith
Artifact • Ring
Strength +1
Bearer must be a Nazgûl. While you can spot a burden, bearer is damage +1.
Skirmish: Unless bearer is enduring, exert him X times to make him strength +X.
Response: If a player reconciles, return bearer to his or her owner’s hand and remove a burden.
“‘Long ago they fell under the dominion of the One....’”

Good catch by SoP on the enduring thing! Very nice, but I feel it’s a bit more powerful than the one’s decipher have printed. Maybe some toning down, but I’m not too sure.

0 Ring of Men Wraith
Artifact • Ring
Strength +1
Bearer must be a Nazgûl.
When you play this artifact, you may add a threat.
Response: If a player reconciles, return bearer to his owner’s hand.
“Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die....”

Does this allow you to break the number of rings they actually had? I think a non-unique ring is too much for a nazgul, especially given its ability. Four threats for 4 rings and 0 does not sound pretty.

For Black Shadow, I don’t think card type and race is part of game text - they’re keywords, but I’m not sure about game text. Also, can I just point something out, how is that card any different from say the simple sentence ’Bearer is Locked’? They’re exactly the same thing!

That’s why it removes a burden in the response text.

How about if I say "...you may exert bearer to add a threat"?

Sorry, didn’t notice that!

As long as they’re not enduring!

Yet another trick of the twilight Nazgûl this time. Enjoy!

1 No Cry Came From Him Wraith
Event • Maneuver
You may remove 2 or a threat to play this event during the regroup phase.
Exert a twilight Nazgûl to exert a companion bearing a Wraith condition.

Good, but I’d make the event regroup and allow it to be played in the maneuver phase - it looks like a card that’s better to have earlier.

You may be right, but I did it in this order because most Wraith conditions played on/transferred to companions happen in the skirmish phase.

Well I was trucking along through these Nazgûl cards when I suddenly realized I have done NOTHING with one of the main themes I intended to use for them: search cards!

So here’s one to get things started. Enjoy!

1 Open, In the Name of Mordor! Wraith
Event • Shadow
Search.
If the current site is a dwelling or forest site, exert your Nazgûl to replace that site with your site of the same number.
“At a second blow the door yielded and fell back, with timbers burst and lock broken. The black figures passed swiftly in.”

Now, a question: should I go back and change a couple of the "Rider in Black" Nazzies (The Witch-king, Morgul-lord of the Black Riders, Úlairë Khamûl, Shadow of the East, and Lemenya, Nertëa, and Toldëa) to have a tie-in ability to search cards? GPs to anyone who gives good suggestions on which ones (if any) to do that with (and how, if you have a good suggestion there).
