One of the key themes of these Wraith Men is giving you an effect without any choice in the matter to represent the inherent danger in relying on fundamentally evil men to protect your ring! Hence, if you can’t spot a Shadow condition and you win a fight with this guy, you may be less than ammused.

3 • Otsea, King of Men Wraith
Companion • Man
Str: 6
Vit: 3
Res: 6
Otsea’s twilight cost is -1 for each Wraith Man you can spot.
Each time Otsea wins a skirmish, discard a condition from play.
While Otsea has resistance 0, each minion is strength +1.

0 • Ring of Avarice, Of the Nine Wraith
Artifact • Ring
Str: +2
Res: -2
Legendary 2.
Bearer must be Otsea.
He gains terror 1.

Fair enough, though I personally probably wouldn’t use him as he’s a little too risky for my blood. Maybe make him a rare-for-Wraith resistance 7.

The main use of him, DI, is that you can start him with High-King RB plus Lemenya and Nertea. But thank you for finally reviewing him - it’s just frustrating to want people’s thoughts and see them online without giving them. And because I’m trying to parallel FP with Shadow, I need both to move at the same pace.

3 • Nelya, King of Men Wraith
Companion • Man
Str: 7
Vit: 3
Res: 6
While you can spot 2 Wraith Men, Nelya’s twilight cost is -1.
Each time Nelya wins a skirmish, play the fellowship’s next site.
While Nelya has resistance 0, he is strength -2.

0 • Ring of Treachery, Of the Nine Wraith
Artifact • Ring
Str: +2
Res: -2
Legendary 2.
Bearer must be Nelya.
He is damage +1.

Like the parallel to Ulaire Nelya with the site thing. Like the drawback of 0 resistance. Good and solid.

The potential drawback of the need to exert a character will only really occur if he is skirmishing an exhausted minion to start with. Maybe it should trigger at the end of a skirmish which Nelya wins in order to allow wounds/kills to be placed first.

He is defender +1.

defender +1 is worth a lot more than damage +1. Look at I will go (or whatever it’s called, the 3 twilight Gondor condition that only works with initiative). I might give him defender +1 as long as his resistance is 2 or more.

No, currently it’s worded that an opponent has to and you don’t. I also figured with the resistance modifier and the fact that it goes to the dead pile was enough to give it a powerful ability.

Sorry, I completely mucked up this card. Each time the text said Nelya, it should have said Cantea. And it does only trigger when he wins a fight. Changed now.

I was thinking that defender bonuses also didn’t help his text that triggers when he wins. I wanted to give him a keyword without adding strength like terror or damage like the last two, but all the others I could think of were Shadow only. Any thoughts?

Understood. I’m not saying it’s a bad card, just one I personally probably wouldn’t use.

Useful, certainly. Too bad you can’t start him AND Nelya, but it’s better-balanced that you can’t.

Archer? Don’t know if that makes any sense at all. I don’t mind defender +1 but it is a bit too cheap to give it away like that. I would have it only work sometimes, or have the ring give -3 resistance but that would break the cycle.

Muster? Are you already using muster?
