Perfect now. Thumbs Up

Although maybe you should just say ’pipeweed’ since there are now pipeweed conditions as well as pipeweed possessions.

Yeah, I’d agree with that. Makes it a bit better.

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

Ah, why not make a couple more DCs? GP to both AC and Dain as soon as I can ’afford’ it. Very Happy

0 Staff of Ithilien Shire
Possession • Staff
To play, exert a Gondor Man (or spot a Gondor ranger).
Bearer must be a Ring-bound Hobbit.
Skirmish: Discard this possession to wound a minion bearer is skirmishing (or twice if it is a Gollum minion).
C110

0 • Frodo, Bearer of Burdens Shire
Companion • Hobbit
Strength: 3
Vitality: 4
Resistance: Ring 10
Each time the fellowship moves, add 2 burdens or wound a companion twice.
Regroup: Exert Frodo to make the move limit +1 for this turn (limit once per turn).

ok, cool.

0 • Frodo, Bearer of Burdens Shire
Companion • Hobbit
Strength: 3
Vitality: 4
Resistance: Ring 10
Hunter 1.
At the start of each skirmish involving Frodo, add 2 burdens or wound a companion twice.
Regroup: Exert Frodo to make the move limit +1 for this turn (limit +1).

wow. i think that’s very powerful. the drawback needs to be each time the fellowship moves, not at the start of the skirmish. and i’d remove the hunter.

I tweaked Frodo a bit. Any more reviews? Smile

Hmm. Where is this from in the story? I don’t recognize it.

I GUESS I can understand the title, since he’s not an automatic RB. Still kinda weird for Frodo to be an "alternate" RB, but I don’t see anything wrong with it.

I think it’s balanced. With this, Radagast, The Brown, and Smeagol with a couple Safe Paths and Secret Paths thrown in, you could sprint down the sitepath. You could toss in Elendil, The Tall and a few artifacts in case you were worried about big minions, and he’d help out with the moving, too!

It is mentioned near the end of the chapter in The Two Towers, ’Shelob’s Lair’. Sam uses it to fight off Gollum, namely whacking Gollum’s elbow and breaking it over Gollum’s back. Razz

Maybe "To play, exert a Gondor Man"?

Yikes, I don’t think that he’s balanced, since you can exert him every regroup phase and just glide down the adventure path. I would increase the moving part to 2 burdens, and make the regroup ability limit once per turn.

Sounds good, although I tweaked the text of the staff a bit more. I’ll wait for an extra review or two before I make any more DCs. Smile

Yeah, AC’s right (as always Razz). That is better.

Thanks for the reviews! Another GP to AC as soon as I can manage it. Very Happy

1 • Sting, Elven Forged Shire
Possession • Hand Weapon
Strength +2.
Bearer must be Frodo, Sam, or Bilbo.
At the start of the maneuver phase, you may exert bearer twice or discard Sting to wound a minion for each burden over 6 you can spot.
