maybe not solo but almost solo...
Sam, bearer of great need + Frodo, Frenzied Fighter
4x A Promise
Daddy twofoot with any of the great events like narrow escape maybe
of course unharmed would go with a deck like this.
I would start off like this though:
Sam, bearer of great need
Frodo, Frenzied Fighter
Bilbo, Aged Ring-bearer
Then you can kill off bilbo if you don’t need him and get +1 strength in the beginning. |

With a lot of those new Frodo-Smeagol-Sam-Bilbo cards coming out in Hunters, you could run Smeagol, Bearer of Great Secrets with Frodo, Frenzied Fighter, Bilbo, Aged Ring-Bearer, and Sam, Faithful Companion (or some other Sam). Pack Daddy Twofoot with No Visitors, and throw in Solo Smeagol stuff (plus the Hunters synergy stuff).
For Shadow, why not try Dunlending or site control? There’s some fun comboes there, like Rapt Hillman and Enraged Shepherd with Last Gasp. Exert Rapt Hillman, kill him with Last Gasp, and you just got a cheap controlled site! Swarthy Hillman + Howdah and Caravan from the South could be fun too...
Another fun idea might be to try a Bold Easterling + Courageous Easterling + Easterling Scout + Last Days swarm combo. Hold onto your expensive minons, and then you’re ready. If any go down in Archery, play your expensive minions with Last Days. If not, wait until skirmish, and then play minions from your discard pile and from hand! |

And...considering that conditions can’t be discarded, why not DDOTR corruption?
Conditions
Desperate Defense of the Ring 4x
Thin and Stretched 4x
Minions
Gorgoroth Stormer 3x
Orc Inquisitor 4x
The Mouth of Sauron, Lieutenant of Barad-Dur 4x
Uruk Guard 3x
Fill it out with some more orcs.
Basically, slap DDOTR 4x on the strongest companion. The Mouth of Sauron will add about 3-4 burdens by assigning to the companion with 4x DDOTR, and then one more with TaS. Use a Freeps to discard your extra TaS.
Gorgoroth Stormer + Orc Inquisitor is a great combo. Also consider The Tower of Barad-Dur. |

Some of these fellowships were going against will have alot of archery/wounding. Mostly I expect to see some sort of ent fellowships.
I expect we will see eowyn wound/elven archery/rohan archery. If this happens, he will be screwed with that style deck.
I’m kinda wondering though if we might see a solo smeagol.
Dont tell WK but I’m using some sort of southron/gollum deck
My Freepeoples has yet to be seen by anyone. |

The deck you played against isn’t the one I am using so I have little worries with the one I am using. It works very well for this format. I tweaked it last night and I think it will do great. Also I did see a solo smeagol when I was playing last night. |

you think solo smeagol would work? A solo smeagol would eventually die to my shadow, but it might clog my fellowship to a point where I could die first.
also, how do i start with this tourny? it’s my first. |

Not sure what you mean byt how do you start this tourney but I can give you a real quick run down of what will happen.
Redoschi will pair everyone up and then all you have to do is arrange a time for you and your opponent to play. then when you submit the game click the tournament button and it will submit the result as a tournament game.
As far as smeagol went it held up really well because you can use Faramir Son of Denethor. The bad part about smeagol is that they were playing trolls on the shadow so it made it really difficult to survive and kill smeagol first. I think I made it to site 5 before he had out too many trolls for me to handle. At the same time I was about to kill smeagol the next site. |
