My choices for the 9 companions if I was making a 9 companion deck would be:
Frodo, Weary From the Journey (starting)
Pippin, Hobbit of Some Intelligence (starting)
Sam, Great Elf Warrior (starting)
Merry, Friend to Sam (starting)
Gandalf, Leader of the Company x4
Boromir, Son of Denethor x2
Aragorn, Ranger of the North (grab with Prancing pony)
Legolas, Elven Comrade x2
Gimli, Unbidden Guest x2
And then I’d use lots of cards like:
Trust Me As You Once Did x4
Strength of Spirit x4
Intimidate x4
Servant of the Secret Fire x4
Barliman, Butterbur, Prancing Pony Proprietor x4
G for Grand x4
A Measure of Comfort x2
It might be kinda cool... especially with Farewell to Lorien for massive healing.

This ruling was added to the Comprehensive Rules 4.0 and as far as I can tell, it first showed up in the CRD between January and August of 2005. (I don’t have all the CRD versions available right now.) |

Check my old article on Fellowhisp Block format. There’s a deck there called "the Toolbox", which my friend played, that used the full fellowship. Now, he "cheated", and most of the time started with the hobbits PLUS Greenleaf, but anyway, I guess it counts. Also, it was one of the two best Fellowship Block decks I’ve ever seen, both in fellowship and in shadow. And as you might guess, yeah, it won. A lot. |

I definitely agree with you there. That is a beast of an event. Inspiration would be another great event for thy deck, AC. |
I had to put something here. |

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. |

I meant he "cheated" becuase he didn’t start with the 4 Hobbits... He started Merry, Pippin and Greenleaf, and pulled Sam with The Green Dragon Inn in site 1, so he WAS basically starting (moving out of the Shire, at least) with the 4 hobbits, but not "quite" starting them. Duh. |
