Now, I would like to note that Desire for the Precious is different than Captured by the Ring (slightly), in that the cost and effect are switched. (and the deck) If you have no Smeagol/Gollum in your discard, you can play Desire, but not Captured. If the fellowship is loaded with threats, you can play Captured but not Desire.
But I do understand the concerns. Other than the +2/+4 skirmish pumps (and a few basic swords), I don’t think I’ve gotten this close to Decipher cards.
I do agree on most of the changes, although I don’t think removing the discard for River Halflings is good. Without it, you’ll need at least one companion (or directed archery) to take on burdens - and if you have , even directed archery won’t help much if they can keep at least two of them out.
For Fishermen, I didn’t think about the ability to see their deck... |
