At the start of the archery phase, you may spot an Uruk-hai archer to transfer this condition from your support area to an unbound companion. The free people’s player may add a threat to prevent this.

But he’s not perfect. Max out threats and instant death + threats. And then you get to exchange archery. Sorry, but with all your Uruk-Hai running around adding threats, this card WILL be transfered, and then he dies, and woo-hoo! Threats!

(Card title is a spoof of Feathered)

Possession • Ranged Weapon
Strength +1
Bearer must be an Uruk-hai minion.

Since its Lurtx, fine, but don’t put such a powerful ability on a non-unique dude.

I think the archery ability needs some other cost, but this is a neat, neat card. Thumbs Up

I think the transferring needs another cost, like removing a couple threats.

Personally, I would drop the option of exerting twice and instead allow taking the next archery action if that companion bears an Uruk-hai condition.

While you can spot 4 threats, the minion archery total is +1.
At the end of the archery phase, discard this condition.

(Take out Quilled for this card, I just X-listed Quilled...maybe it’ll have an errata soon instead) Change: Made it not-so-temporary, and added an effect to it.

Good. You might want to take the apostrophe out of "free people’s" (should be "free peoples")

Hmmm. Seems too temporary. You should have something like discard it OR remove a threat, X twilight, or something. As it is, 4x of these means that you can only spot a companion with a condition 4 times through the entire game. (unless you’re counting Our Foes Are Weak, etc.) Plus any other conditions you have... I haven’t looked to see if there were any others.

I think it should instead be worded:

Spot X Uruk-hai archers and subtract X from the minon archery total to add X threats.

Just a little cleaner that way. I like this card a lot: I think I made one just like it once.

I like the card, but that title has GOT to go. I think a toil 1 wouldn’t hurt, either.

"Free Peoples" should always be capitalized. Otherwise very neat.

I’d HIGHLY recommend a change in title. Nifty otherwise, though. MAYBE lower his strength to 5 or up his cost to 3, though.

Not too keen on this title, either, but the rest looks okay.

I’d rather this be someone else, as Saruman wasn’t exactly an archery guy. But it’s okay. I’d make the second option on his archery ability require spotting an Uruk-hai, though.

Titles for uruks are so hard to come up with, so the last two up there came from me thinking "Hmm...I’ll make a DC of one that can wield both a bow and a sword at the same time! And one that hides in the foliage to archer those companions!" So yeah, I may just do a random dictionary word search for titles next time. Smile

Foresight, I just PMed you a LONG list of good minion names to help with that. Can’t remember when or where I got it, but it’s been helpful to me many times. Hope you find it useful, too.
