Of course, what are Hobbits without some stealth? These cards are loosely fashioned after the FotR/TTT stealth cards, though they have a more "modern" twist. Enjoy!
Let’s Get Out of Sight!
Event • Skirmish
Stealth.
If the fellowship is at a forest or river site, cancel a skirmish involving a Hobbit and a fierce minion. At any other site, make a Hobbit strength +2 and gain hunter 1 until the regroup phase.
“‘It may not matter much, but I would rather not be seen on the road – by anyone.’”
Nice. Try for or even . I don’t think that stealth events should throw out to much twilight.
Laid Flat
Event • Skirmish
Stealth.
Cancel a skirmish involving a Hobbit and a minion whose vitality is lower than that Hobbit’s vitality.
“The other two ran quickly to the left and down into a little hollow not far from the road.”
Nice. Again, or .
This last one is a rare stealth condition, and it’s intended to show the Hobbits learning from past stealthy maneuvers, just as they did when avoiding the Ringwraiths on the roads between the Shire and Bree.
 • Quickly and Quietly
Condition • Support Area
Stealth.
Each time you play a stealth card (including this condition), spot no more than 3 tokens here to add a token here.
Response: If a minion is played, remove a token from here and spot an unwounded Hobbit companion to make that minion’s owner discard a card from hand of the same culture as that minion. If they cannot, wound that minion.
“‘I don’t want to be seen, but I want to see if it is another Black Rider.’”
AH! Intelligent cards! "The card is talking, Merry." (don’t ask) |

One more stealthy card that’s quite different. Enjoy!
A Quite Unexpected Direction
Event • Response
Stealth.
If the fellowship moves to a forest site or moves from a dwelling, assign X exertions to Hobbit companions to make a Shadow player take X minions back into hand.
“‘But I am not going by road: it would be safer to wait here than that. If I go through the North-gate my departure from Buckland will be known at once, instead of being secret for several days at least, as it might be.’” |

Stealth. Toil 1.
If the fellowship moves to a forest site or moves from a dwelling, exert a Hobbit to make each Shadow player take each minion back into hand.
“‘But I am not going by road: it would be safer to wait here than that. If I go through the North-gate my departure from Buckland will be known at once, instead of being secret for several days at least, as it might be.’”
Whoa...cost that waaay heavier. I mean, look at Gildor, who required an exertion to return a single minion to hand. And think of the massive hand clog you’d cause! |

Hmmm. Well, I could exert more Hobbits, drop the toil, make it more expensive...lots of options. What do you think is best? |

How about something like:
A Quite Unexpected Direction
Event • Response
Stealth.
If the fellowship moves to a forest site or moves from a dwelling, exert X Hobbits to make each Shadow player take X minions back into hand.
“‘But I am not going by road: it would be safer to wait here than that. If I go through the North-gate my departure from Buckland will be known at once, instead of being secret for several days at least, as it might be.’”

That would work, though it would certainly be less powerful than the card I made. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, though. |

How about something very similar? Check the card now.
Now, let’s say there’s 3 minions you want returned to their owner’s hand(s). With the rewrite Eomer had (which was a good idea, don’t get me wrong), you’d have to exert 3 Hobbits to do that. With this new wording, you can choose to still do that, or instead exert ONE Hobbit 3 times, or exert a Hobbit twice and exert another one once. A lot more flexible, and combos better (in my opinion) with Quickly and Quietly:
Return a minion with A Quite Unexpected Direction (and get a token on Quickly and Quietly at the same time), then next turn, remove a token from Quickly and Quietly (and spot one of the Hobbits you chose NOT to exert) to make the Shadow player pay when they try to play the minion again. Yowza! |
