Here are the Shire cards for a couple more reviews before I move onto The One Ring and Shadow cards! Popcorn


1 Hobbit Bow Shire
Possession • Ranged Weapon
Bearer must be a Hobbit.
Bearer gains hunter 1.
Archery: Discard this possession to make the fellowship archery total +1.
C100

1 • Farmer Maggot, Grower of Mushrooms Shire
Follower
Resistance +1.
Aid - Add a burden.
Bearer gains hunter 1.
Each time you transfer this follower to a companion, except a companion, exert that companion.
Each minion skirmishing bearer loses all strength and damage bonuses from weapons.

2 • Bilbo, Son of Bungo Shire
Companion • Hobbit
Strength: 3
Vitality: 4
Resistance: 8
Skirmish: Exert Bilbo twice to cancel a skirmish involving another Hobbit companion.
U102

2 • Sam, The Gaffer’s Son Shire
Companion • Hobbit
Strength: 3
Vitality: 4
Resistance: 9
Ring-bound.
While Sam bears The One Ring, his resistance is -4.
Skirmish: Exert Sam to make Frodo strength +1 until the regroup phase for each burden over 4 you can spot (limit +4).
Response: If Frodo dies, make Sam the Ring-bearer.

0 • The Gaffer, Gardener of Bag End Shire
Follower
Strength +1.
Aid - Add a burden.
Each time you transfer this follower to a companion, except a companion, exert that companion.
Maneuver: Exert bearer to make bearer strength +1 for each dwelling and site you can spot until the regroup phase (limit +4).

1 • Pippin, Foolhardy Halfling Shire
Companion • Hobbit
Strength: 3
Vitality: 4
Resistance: 9
Maneuver: Exert Pippin to play a pipeweed from your discard pile or draw deck.

1 • Merry, Adventurous Halfling Shire
Companion • Hobbit
Strength: 3
Vitality: 4
Resistance: 9
Skirmish: Exert Merry to make a Shire companion bearing a follower strength +2 until the regroup phase.

1 • Merry’s Pipe Shire
Possession • Pipe
Bearer must be Merry.
Fellowship: Exert Merry to heal a companion bearing a pipe.

1 • Pippin’s Pipe Shire
Possession • Pipe
Bearer must be Pippin.
At the start of the fellowship phase, you may exert Pippin and discard a card from hand to take a pipeweed into hand from your draw deck or discard pile.
U108

0 Staff of Ithilien Shire
Possession • Staff
To play, exert a Gondor Man (or spot a Gondor ranger).
Bearer must be a Ring-bound Hobbit.
Skirmish: Discard this possession to wound a minion bearer is skirmishing (or twice if it is a Gollum minion).

0 • Frodo, Bearer of Burdens Shire
Companion • Hobbit
Strength: 3
Vitality: 4
Resistance: Ring 10
Each time the fellowship moves, add 2 burdens or wound a companion twice.
Regroup: Exert Frodo to make the move limit +1 for this turn (limit once per turn).

1 • Sting, Elven Forged Shire
Possession • Hand Weapon
Strength +2.
Bearer must be Frodo, Sam, or Bilbo.
At the start of the maneuver phase, you may exert bearer twice or discard Sting to wound a minion for each burden over 6 you can spot.

4 A Night to Remember Shire
Event • Maneuver
Exert 4 Shire companions to remove a burden for each minion over 2 you can spot.

Aid - Add a burden.
Each time you transfer this follower to a companion, except a Shire companion, exert bearer.
Maneuver: Exert bearer twice to heal a Shire companion bearing a follower (except bearer).

2 A Conspiracy Unmasked Shire
Event • Skirmish
Reveal the top card of your draw deck to make a minion skirmishing a Hobbit strength -X, where X is the twilight cost of the card revealed.

0 • The End of All Things Shire
Condition • Support Area
Tale.
To play, spot Frodo and Sam and add 3 burdens.
When the fellowship moves to any site 9, remove 3 burdens and heal a companion.

1 Last Trick Shire
Event • Skirmish
Spot an exhausted Shire companion to make that companion strength +4. If that companion wins his skirmish, heal that companion.

1 Pouch of Pipeweed Shire
Possession
Bearer must be a Hobbit.
At the start of the fellowship phase, you may exert bearer to heal a companion bearing a pipeweed.
C117

2 • Elven-cakes Shire
Possession
Resistance +1
Bearer must be a Ring-bound Hobbit.
Regroup: Add 3 burdens and discard this possession to make the move limit +1.

0 I Will Take the Ring Shire
Event • Skirmish
Remove 2 Free Peoples tokens to make Frodo strength +1 for each Free Peoples culture you can spot (limit +5).

2 Tom Is Here Shire
Event • Skirmish
Add a burden to make a Shire companion strength +1 until the regroup phase for each Shire follower you can spot.

2 • Tom Bombadil, Eldest Shire
Follower
Strength +1
Resistance +2
Aid - Remove 2 tokens.
Each time you transfer Tom Bombadil to a companion, except Gandalf or a Shire companion, exert bearer.
Each time bearer wins a skirmish, remove a burden.

1 I’m Back Shire
Event • Regroup
Discard a Shire follower to heal X Shire companions, where X is the current region number.

1 • The Last Pages Shire
Condition • Support Area
Tale.
To play, spot 2 Shire companions.
Each time a Shadow card adds a burden, you may reinforce a Shire token.

Either this thread is deader than a hammer, or the DCs are excellent. I will assume the latter. Mr. Green

• The One Ring, Forged in Mordor
Strength +1
Resistance +1
While wearing The One Ring, the Ring-bearer gains muster.
Maneuver: Add a burden to make the Ring-bearer wear The One Ring until the regroup phase.
While bearer is wearing The One Ring and is about to take a wound, add a burden instead.

whats the use of resistance if you can’t take burdens? (aside from anti-corp) make it add a burden or 2 threats,

Very, very strange. I see what SoP is saying, but I DO like the current ability...hmmm. Think Maybe add a burden each time you put it on. Then it’s got a little of everything...and the Shadow player has a new strategy for adding burdens. Very Happy

Speaking of which, it probably needs some text to put it on before the response ability can be used.

I dropped the resistance bonus and added a vitality bonus, plus the text that enables the RB to wear it. Any thoughts? Smile

I still think the response action should only work while the Ring is actually being worn.
