Legolas, I mean a limit per turn, like limit +3. Right now, with all the archers in our fellwoship, you can remove quite a few tokens each turn to make for some big fellowship archery totals, and then exert the host of archers in this party to replenish the tokens again next turn. Just a suggestion, but hey, if you wanna shoot everything down before the skirmish phase, that’s cool too.

Just a suggestion:

1 Practice Elven
Condition - Support Area
When you play this condition, add 2 Elven tokens here. If there are no tokens on this card, discard it.
Fellowship: Exert an Elven archer to add an Elven token here.
Archery: Remove a token from this condition and spot an Elven archer to add 1 to the fellowship archery total (limit twice per phase).

Wow, a lot of healing stuff. I’ll try to be different.

Silvarin stood off to the side of the camp, away from the fire. For some reason, the light bothered him. He missed the darkened, peacefull halls of Mirkwood.

He listened to the Rohan man’s song for a while, but after a while grew bored. He left the camp, and wandered throughout the forest for sometime, though never letting the sounds of the campground escape his ears.

He found a quiet clearing, and sat on a fallen log. His thoughts strayed to adventures past, and to his brother. He remembered all the warriors he had fought with, and dearly wished more of them were here.

Slowly, he fell into remembering things. He thought of his brother once more, and thought back to a time when both them, and their family, was still alive...

*************************************************************

Light peirced the tall boughs of the mirkwood trees, unsually lighting the clearing the brothers were in. Silvarin was relaxing on a fallen tree, reading a book by the fading light. Lyon was practicing his archery, consistantly hitting a target in the middle of one of the great trees.

Lyon raised his bow, arrow nocked on the string. He sighted down the shaft for only a moment, and let it fly. A satisfying thunk sounded as the arrow buried itself in the bull’s-eye. Silvarin twitched slightly at the sound.

"Does my perfection disturb your reading, brother?" Lyon asked, jokingly.

"Not so, little one. To my eyes, it seems like you missed the exact center by a few centimeters. Anyone with true skill could see that. Do not boast of ’perfection’ you have not attained, younger brother," said Silvarin, equally lightly. Lyon smiled, and set his bow down.

"Bah. All that reading has worsened your eyes. I think I was on the mark." Lyon put down his bow and unslung his quiver. He picked up his sword where it lay, and drew it. He flourished it for a moment, and then went into a series of lightning-fast blows. By the end, he was breathing hard.
"Come brother, I tire of this. Won’t you practice with me?"

"Foolish little brother. There is more to be gained with a knowledge of magic than with sharp pieces of metal."

"This ’piece of metal’ could cut out your guts before you had time to mutter your incantations. I tire of your spellweaving! Come, fight with me!"

Silvarin smiled, and layed down his book. He reached for his sword, which was lying at his feet, and stood up. He too unsheathed it, but did not bother with flourishing, for Lyon was already upon him. But the younger brother’s first blow was met with iron resistance, and with one strike the sword was wrenched from his hands.

"How did you..." began Lyon, rubbing his sore wrist. Then, he saw a flash of blue running down his brother’s blade.

Lyon smiled.

"Bah. Magic."

*************************************************************

Silvarin smiled as he stood. Lost in thought, he meandered back to camp.

Only a moment later, though, Rorin came wandering through the woods, bumping (literally) into Silvarin. The Dwarf dropped a small armful of firewood, while Silvarin, still lost in thought, only avoided falling to the earth thanks to his Elven reflexes.

“Be more careful, Dwarf,” Silvarin mumbled, moving towards the camp.

“I beg yer pardon?” Rorin countered. “I believe that you ran into me, Elf. Did you not see me collecting wood for our fire?”

“I must have not seen you, no,” Silvarin said, and Rorin grunted in satisfaction. Silvarin, stone-faced, wasn’t finished, though. “I probably looked right overtop of you.”

Rorin growled and took a step towards the Elf. “You would do well not to rely on me when your little magic tricks finally fail you in battle, laddie,” he said, gaining some satisfaction from the brief surprise that crossed Silvarin’s face. “Yes, I have seen your fancy wizard imitations, and they’re nothing compared to good, old-fashioned steel.”

‘Tell that to Lyon,’ thought Silvarin, but instead said “I do not forsee needing the aid of a Dwarf.”

Rorin laughed. “That’s the problem with you Elves. Always trying to ‘forsee’ everything.”

“Enough!” called another voice.

Rorin and Silvarin both turned to see Curubethion approaching. “Have you found some wood, Rorin?” he asked, his face not betraying whatever his thoughts might be.

“I have indeed, Master Ranger,” Rorin said, hoisting the wood again and shooting a final glance at Silvarin. “And I was just leaving to bring it back.”

“Good.” Curubethion nodded to Silvarin, but said no more for now, moving back towards the fire.

“So long, Elf,” Rorin said, following the ranger and leaving Silvarin, once again, alone with his thoughts.

Tuilin walked back into camp, feeling much refreshed. He breathed in the cool air. Things seemed...different then when he had left...more on edge. HIs hand reflexively reached for his bow before he caught himself. The rider approached him "where were you?" "I was resting’ "this is not the time for rest! You should have been practicing like legoles or doing something useful"
Tuilin anger got the best of him and he said back "This coming from one who not an hour ago was playing the harp? Watch your tongue nothernor." Before he could reply he added "If you must know, I am already one of the best marksmen in middle earth, and my practice comes form killing orcs, not shooting trees" He was about to continue then realized what was happening.

"I am sorry, my anger got the best of me."

Ectheow grunted. "First time I’ve seen an elf all indignant. But do you feel it? Everyone is tense. one of your pointy-eared buddies, Silvarin, just jumped all over the Dwarf. Cooroo-what’s-his-name, Master Ranger had to break them up. And now the two of us, quibbling over harpstrings and bowstrings. Perhaps you were right. Rest. But there’s something evil moving in these lands. Something perhaps even darker than the forces which exiled me from my own land...." Ectheow realized he was about to say too much.
Before Tuilin could reply, Ectheow abruptly turned away. "I speak too much. Where’s the Dwarf? I needed to speak with him..."

Duinihir watched as the party began to become tense. Sensing that they needed something to loosen up the tensions, he turned to the nearest keg of ale, which had been brought from Bree, and pulled the cork.

Sure enough, all the members of the party began moving towards the keg. The tensions were calmed, at least, for the moment.

"Yes! Give me another!" Rorin roared, draining his fourth mug of ale. "I can beat a ranger any day!"

Dirthon set down his empty mug beside three other empty ones. Staggering slightly as he walked toward the barrel of ale, he helped himself to a fifth mug.

"Bah! I have beat every Dwarf I have met in a drinking game!" Dirthon swallowed the last drops from his mug and was handed another. Wiping the foam off his mouth with his sleeve, he proceeded to drain his seventh mug.

"Getting a little wobbly in the knees, eh, laddie?" Rorin taunted. Setting down yet another empty mug, the Dwarf accepted another cup brimming over with the golden beverage.
I had to put something here.

Ectheow watched Rorin and Dirthon chugging the ale. What a waste. They didn’t even taste it before they had downed another mug.
He reached into his pack, pulled out a flask of honey, mixing some into his ale.
It wasn’t exactly mead, but it would do. The Prancing Pony did have some of the better northern ales.
He took another drink as Dirthon nearly collapsed into the fire, Rorin laughing heartily.
"Brilliant, Duinhir," he commented, bordering on actual joviality. "Ale looks like it was the last thing those two needed."
