I just had a gigantic speaking event, So I am fairly burned out right now, might be a few days before I get to work on the cards. Sorry.

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. Razz

This will be tough. You never can specify EXACTLY what we have to do, can you, FM?

I’ll get to work... eventually...

few Qs
just to make sure, are we making DC’s? or using already existing cards? I am pretty sure it is DC’s but with this contest you never know.

2. Will you be grading on how good the cards are, how good the cycle is, or both?
thanks.

I’ve already started doing it with DC’s, I’m pretty sure that’s what Felipe wants.

I don’t think he’ll overlook judging both the series of cards and how good the DCs are. Wink

1 - DC’s, why of course! C’mon, I’m not THAT bad... am I? Eh?

2 - Well, of course cards will be taken into account, too (as for rarity, usefulness, flavor, etc... as usual), but the MAIN focus here is cards IN the cycle. Now, a lot of the usefulness of a cycle comes from the cards in it (or the ability for one to find the others, etc), so yes, the DCs themselves WILL pay a major role in grading, even though the MAIN focus is the cycle itself (meaning, you can make the sweetest DCs ever, if they don’t fit in as a cycle, be forewarned that you’re already down a good 5 points or so... Twisted Evil )

Could you give us some percentage on grading? Like:

65% Cycle/35% Card...

Something like that? Eh?

50/50, prolly. But could be altered depending on the entries.

Just curious, but... Who’s still taking place in the Contest? Also, I dropped by for 2 reasons:
1- Clarification for the challenge:
I do not intend, in any way, to "try and guess" which cycles are maent to fulfill which criteria, so it’s up for the contestant to state which criterium(a) his cycle is trying to fulfill.
2- Entries have been re-opened for the contest, so, spread the news! Let’s try and bring in more people, after all, the more, the merrier! Personally, I think DáinIronfoot would be REALLY cool to have as a Contestant, so if anyone would like to buzz him about it... Wink

Below, the current standings. Note that, as I said before, we have one contestant with a REALLY low score, which’ll probably be not returning to the Contest anyway, so anyone wanting to join can do so now, and STILL have a PRETTY good chance of staying for the next round. Also, some Contestants have already skipped the second challenge, and might not return to the contest, leaving a possibility for other contestants to get a high enough score to still be in. If nothing else, at least you can win some gp Wink . And, again, as I said before, the score will be RESET after the first elimination, so even if you join now, provided you canmake it to the next round, you’ll be competing in equal grounds (although with less experience in the "format" Razz).

STANDINGS:

1• thonnas7 = 8.261
2• bobtheorc = 7.891
3• CarpeGuitarrem = 7.824
4• sickofpalantirs = 7.567
5• corvus = 7.195
6• Turin06 = 6.450
7• AnxiousChieftain = 4.251
8• WitchKingBlkCapt = 4.044
9• Gate Troll = 3.719
10• Celebrimbor = 3.623
11• Gagnut = 0.785
12• donimator = 0
13• elf lvr = 0
14• Hazael = 0
15• Ingold55 = 0
16• maxidoodle = 0

PS: As a side note, I’d like to restate that the prize pool has grown, although I’ll keep "how much" as a surprise for now. Nothing really fancy, though, but some neat cards notheless.
