Response: If Treebeard is about to be wounded, exert Wandlimb or discard her to prevent that wound.

A pure wound sponge. Obviously very specific, but good, I think.

While the fellowship is at a forest, this minion gains hunter 2.
At the start of the skirmish phase, you may remove to make this minion damage +1.

Shouldn’t it be "Tree-herder"?

Damage +1. To play Skinbark, exert a minion (or discard 2 cards from hand).
Skirmish: Exert Skinbark to exert a character skirmishing him (if it is an character, make Skinbark strength +2).
"’Skinbark lived on the mountain-slopes west of Isengard.’"
DR94
"(and, if that character is an [Isengared] character, make Skinbark strength +2)". A little cleaner, I think. |
Best regards, Dáin, Vice Aftokrator of the Chosen Ones
Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

I was hoping that the specificness of the ability would help balance the strength of it (and the fact you need 13 twilight to get both out. I could see adding "remove " like sop said, though.

That could be... I’ll check something quick though.
As for increasing cost, I was thinking it would be the cheap Ent, and the hunter was a way for it to boost up to the older Ent strengths.
Nope. In Chapter 4 of the Two Towers (Treebeard): "’We are the tree-herds, we old Ents. Few enough of us are left now. Sheep get like shepherd, and shepherds like sheep, it is said; but slowly, and neither have long in the world.’" (p457 in my version - about halfway down the page)

Yeah.
As for Skinbark being killed, I don’t actually know it for sure (possible), but his section of the forest was destroyed by Saruman and the Orcs. So, it’s mostly just imagination, but I’m more thinking of his way of thinking. I was getting that he wasn’t quite as hasty as Quickbeam, but hastier than Treebeard and most of the other Ents, because he’s been involved with the destruction of Isengard. |
Our time here is ending...
What did you want to see before the end?
It will be made in the Request-a-card Set #1 (name ideas also welcome ). |
