While skirmishing a roaming minion, Farmer Maggot is strength +2.
While in region 1, each unbound Hobbit is strength +1.
While in regions 1 and 2, each other unbound Hobbit is resistance +1.
“‘He’s a good friend to all the Brandybucks. Of course he’s a terror to trespassers, and keeps ferocious dogs – but after all, folk down here are near the border and have to be more on their guard.’”
maybe in region 2-3 each unbound hobbit is resistance +1?
The only reason I didn’t do that is that Maggot, in the story, is more helpful early on. If he had gone with the Hobbits, he would have been as lost and confused at the rest of them once they’d gone far enough. |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

Awesome! Someone else made a Farmer Maggot and I suggsted that they allow him to grant a hunter bonus, even though it isn’t very -esque. Perhaps you could give Farmer Maggot a meager hunter bonus or allow him to grant one. |

I think he’s better suited to be a follower. How about this...
• Farmer Maggot, Shrewd Fellow
Follower
Strength +1.
Resistance +1.
Aid - Add a burden.
While bearer is skirmishing a roaming minion, bearer gains hunter 1.
Each time you transfer this follower to a companion, except a companion, exert that companion.
Skirmish: Exert bearer to make bearer strength +X until the regroup phase, where X is the current region number (limit +3). |
I had to put something here. |

Now that is cool. It may just be me, but I always thought of Farmer Maggot as a great way to introduce hunter to the . |

Then I think you’ll REALLY like the new version. Check the original post (page 3) to see it.
And by the way, does the updated Bilbo companion look good to you now? I made a pretty major change to him based on your review. |

Ring-bearer. Ring-bound.
The twilight cost of each artifact and tale played on Bilbo is -1.
While wearing The One Ring, each stealth event is twilight cost -1.
Maneuver or Assignment: Add a burden or a threat to have Bilbo wear The One Ring until the regroup phase.
“‘Bilbo the silly hobbit started this affair, and Bilbo had better finish it, or himself.’”
Much, much better. Bravo.

Wow, cool! That maneuver ability is amazing.

Regroup: Add and a burden to heal Bilbo.

Nice.

I would consider dropping the cost to 1, because none of his abilities are super powerful.

You’re right. I think an old version (older than the one I originally posted) had higher starting stats, so he costed . I just forgot to change it once I moved on from there. I’ll lower it. Thanks! |

Today, we have a character that I cannot BELIEVE has not yet appeared in LOTR TCG. I know WETA has prepared images that will be used at some point, but I cannot understand why they haven’t been used yet.
So here he is: Fredegar "Fatty" Bolger. And boy, are both of his versions interesting. Enjoy!
•Fredegar Bolger, Cautious Conspirator
Ally • Home 2 • Hobbit
Strength: 3
Vitality: 3
To play, spot 3 Hobbits.
Each time the fellowship moves to a dwelling site, you may heal a Hobbit.
Each time the fellowship moves during the regroup phase, you may exert Fredegar Bolger to discard a Shadow condition or minion.
“‘Still, I am very glad someone is stopping behind, who can tell Gandalf what you have done, when he turns up, as I am sure he will before long.’”
•Fredegar Bolger, Just a Decoy
Companion • Hobbit
Strength: 3
Vitality: 3
Signet: Frodo
Maneuver: If Fredegar Bulger is unwounded and the fellowship is at a sanctuary, remove him from the game to play a Hobbit companion from your draw deck.
Response: If another Hobbit is about to be discarded or killed, you may discard Fatty Bolger instead.
“His task, according to the original plans of the conspirators, was to stay behind and deal with inquisitive folk, and to keep up as long as possible the pretence that Mr. Baggins was still living at Crickhollow.” |
