Event • Skirmish
Spell.
If Gandalf bears a staff or hand weapon, exert him to discard a weapon borne by a minion Gandalf is skirmishing.
“There was a ringing clash and a stab of white fire.”
I would drop the cost to .
I thought about that, but with similar cards like Roll of Thunder and Turn of the Tide in mind, I was worried that and an exertion (or and no exertion) would be too cheap. I dunno...with those other cards in mind, what do you think? Still okay to do and exert? |

Okay, then. Done!
Here’s a couple more spells that don’t work with the new staff, but are pretty powerful on their own. Enjoy!
White Fire
Event • Regroup
Spell.
Exert Gandalf twice to wound a minion X times, where X is Gandalf’s vitality.
“A blinding sheet of white flame sprang up. The bridge cracked. Right at the Balrog’s feet it broke....”
•Hold the Narrow Way
Condition • Support Area
Spell. Play this condition only during the assignment phase.
Gandalf is defender +X (limit +3), where X is the number of threats you can spot.
At the start of the regroup phase, remove X threats, where X is Gandalf’s vitality; if you cannot, add 2 burdens instead. Discard Gandalf and this condition.
“But Gandalf stood firm. ‘You cannot pass,’ he said. The orcs stood still, and a dead silence fell.” |

The order of the regroup actions needs to be switched. Once Gandalf is discarded, he has no vitality.
Other than that, I love this card! |

Thanks, Eomer. I wasn’t too sure about the wording myself, and now that it’s switched, it does look MUCH better. |

I’d make it defender +1 for every 2 threats you can spot, but i still like it. |

Do you have to discard Gandalf no matter what? It’s slightly confusing to me. |

Thanks for the review, corvus. I think I’ll leave Hold The Narrow Way as it is, since everyone else seems to like it as is.
Onward and upward! I’m htting a bit of a mental block with Gandalf, so let’s switch to the other Wizard for now, as I have LOTS for him.
Certainly, the best way to start is with the Wizard himself. Enjoy!
•Radagast, Bird-lover
Companion • Wizard
Strength: 8
Vitality: 4
Signet: Gandalf
To play, spot an Eagle or 2 characters (except Men).
Fellowship: Exert Radagast twice to play an Eagle or follower from your draw deck. Limit once per turn.
Maneuver: Exert Radagast and add a threat to make an Eagle strength +2 until the regroup phase.
“‘Radagast is, of course, a worthy Wizard...birds are especially his friends.’”
Not quite as versatile as the version from Lasting Alliances, but this one is awesome with Eagles.
•Radagast, Aiwendil
Companion • Wizard
Strength: 8
Vitality: 4
Signet: Elrond
While you can spot another Wizard, each spell’s twilight cost is -1.
Each time an spell is played, you may add or remove a threat.
“Curumo was obliged to take Aiwendil to please Yavanna wife of Aulë....”
This version might not be what you’d expect from Radagast, but presumably he was a pretty powerful being before he became the nature-loving brown wizard we all know and love from Fellowship of the Ring. And yes, this means that spells surge back into prominence beginning in The Road Ahead. |

Yes.
Any suggestions on how to make it less confusing? I figured that wording it like all those "discard this conditon" texts would be sufficient.... |
