Thanks for the reviews AC, glad you like them especially Horse Masters. The vitality on the shield was a concern to me but wanted a theme of defense from a shield and the ability is a one off, just like New Authority for Gandalf.

Aid - Discard a Free Peoples card from hand.
If bearer is a Dwarf he/she gains hunter 2.
Of Durin’s folk, Fror was a fearsome warrior.

Make him unique and he’d be great. Also, technically the correct format is "Aid - Cost" instead of "Aid: Cost". |

Yep, pretty neat. "Free Peoples" should always be capitalized, though, and "hunter X" lower-cased. I like the card a lot, though. |

If an opponent is about to add any number of twilight tokens to the pool, exert Gandalf to prevent that and remove that number of twilight tokens from the pool.
"They will hold..."

Pretty darn cool. I THINK it should always be "twilight pool", but that’s a very minor thing, since everyone knows what you mean anyway.
MAYBE add in a spotting requirement of a Man or something, but it’s not necessary.

To play spot 2 mounted companions.
Each time a mount is discarded by a shadow card, you may discard that shadow card as well.
Discard this condition if you cannot spot a mount.
The most important thing to a Rohirrim is his horse.

Awesome!

Sam is strength +1 for each follower you can spot.
Response: If a follower is discarded from play, exert sam twice to play that follower from your discard pile.
"We set out to save the Shire, Sam. And it has been saved."
R
Make sure "Sam" is always capitalized. But I can’t complain otherwise.
lem0nhead wrote: Not sure if i should add "Response: If Frodo dies make Sam the Ring-bearer (resistance 5)."? What do you think? Bit OP?
In this case, I think it’s better without it. Not sure where it would fit, anyway!

Yeah, I have to agree with AC on this one. I’d LOVE to make non-unique shields with vitality boosts myself, but they’re simply too powerful. Either make it a unique possession or, as I would recommend, give it a built-in way to prevent wounds for some cost instead of the vitality.
Personally, I’d do something like this:
Gondorian Shield
Possession • Shield
Bearer must be a knight.
Response: If bearer is about to take a wound, add a threat to prevent that wound.
Reponse: If a Shadow event or special ability is used, discard this possession to cancel that effect.
Stout are the defenses of the White City.
C
Still very powerful, but more under control. |

Thanks! Im dead chuffed with the response to Horse Masters, i thought the coolest card was "The Defenses Have To Hold" but hey ho! Will make changes Dain, i know the shield wasn’t right. So removed vitality and went with the theme of defense. If you attack someone with a weapon who has a shield it probably wont help, hence my weapon negate edit. Better? |

Any minion bearing a hand weapon and skirmishing bearer is strength -2.
Response: If a shadow event or special ability is used discard this possession to cancel that effect.

I think it would be cooler to say "Each minion skirmishing bearer does not gain strength bonuses from hand weapons." But yes, this is much better, I think. It MIGHT be a little better balanced if the response ability required exerting bearer AND discarding this, but that may not be necessary, since discarding it is not an easy choice to make. |
