Here are a couple of Green cards to slow down the companions:

1 Spider Poison Green
Possession • Support Area
Maneuver: Remove 2 to transfer this possession from your support area to an unbound companion. Limit 1 per bearer.
Each time bearer is assigned to skirmish a Green minion, bearer must exert (and add 1 if that minion is a Green Spider).
”Some had hardly been able to breathe at all (long noses are sometimes useful you see), and some had been more poisoned.”
C114

i would change the cost to 2 because of the insane combo with wounding cards

3 Sick and Weary Green
Condition • Support Area
Strength -1
Resistance -1
Skirmish: Transfer this condition from your support area to an unbound companion skirmishing a Green Spider.
Each time the fellowship moves, the Free Peoples player must choose to exert bearer or add 1.
”…they could not go much better than a hobble and a wobble….”

Maneuver thing should be skirmish thing, ie. ’Remove 2 to transfer this possession to a companion skirmishing a spider.’ I’d make it more like the other card and give a choice between exerting and adding 1, that way you have a stronger theme.

Cool. Not sure if ’unbound’ is necessary - the Free Peoples player knows you have it, and if they want to send their ring-bearer against you, so be it.

I’d transfer this in the skirmish phase to a companion skirmishing a Spider, or move it to regroup and require spotting a Spider.

Good. Perhaps change it to any ol’ companion (except the Ring-bearer). I like it, though.

I had two Green conditions with these same names, by the way. Good stuff. Thumbs Up

I think I’d lower either his vitality to 4 or his strength to 5 or 4...probably the vitality. And switch the words in his title around...sounds cooler as "Spider Sentinel". Cool

I’d limit the strength reduction to -3, and since it’s so powerful, I’d strongly consider only allowing it to be transferred to a companion when a Spider wins a skirmish with that companion.

Dain was right about this card - only minions like Sauron should have 5 vitality. Nice.

’Bearer is strength -1 for each wound on them’ is better, as is ’While bearer is exhausted’. I might be tempted to split this card’s two abilities into 2 separate cards, one which made them strength -1 for each wound, and another that made all spiders gain hunter 1 while they’re exhausted.

Nice stuff.
