The twilight cost of the first card played each turn is -2.
Each time a Man wins a skirmish, you may remove .
Each time the Ring-bearer puts on or takes off The One Ring, add a burden or a threat.
“‘Sauron is biding his time. He’s massing fresh armies. He will return. And when he does, we will be powerless to stop him. You must go. Bring me back this mighty gift.’”
Hmmm interesting balance. Nice. Odd strength for denethor but more fitting for who he actually is. Cool.
Yeah, I put a lot of thought into the strength. Future versions in The End Of All Things (my RotK set) will probably be 7/3 or 8/3, or be something like 5/3 with the potential of getting bigger. But for this guy, I figured the lower-than-usual strength was more befitting, and also helped balance him. Glad you agree. |

I think his second ability is pushing it, and it would streamline the card to remove it. I like the rest though.

I understand, but winning skirmishes (and befitting from it) is a big theme for Gondor in this set, as you hopefully began to see with Boromir and his stuff. I wanted to tie Denethor in with that, so if anything, I’d be more inclined to remove the first ability. |

Alright, here are a couple events, both of which work very well with the new damage-focused Boromir. Enjoy!
Gondor’s Finest
Event • Skirmish
Make a unique companion strength +2. Then, if that companion is damage +X, make him or her strength +X.
“‘They say you vanquished the enemy almost single-handedly.’”
Nice and Short
Event • Response
If a minion is killed in a skirmish involving a Man, heal a companion.

Okay, a little vague on this one. Rephrase it make a companion strength +X, where X is double its damage bonus.

Would be better as a condition. As an event, why not Athelas? Or Invigorated? No reason to use it. I would make it a condition, maybe with tokens or token adding abilities. |

should be strength +2 and then an additional strength +X while they are damage +X. right now it is only maximum stength +4.
