The best deck can force good draws. i.e. Denethor, Lord of Minas Tirith. Very difficult to get though. I have a NG deck that has failed a perfect draw only once, when I got 4 Treacherous Little Toad. Other than that, it has ALWAYS set up perfectly.
I also have a Moria deck like that. Enough stopping minions to ensure that they don’t double, small enough to ensure that it HAS to cycle the FP, and basically, it can’t help BUT draw well.
qq, how big is your deck AP? |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

39/39, but it cycles like a dream. I’ve decked out once, but I usually have 5-10 cards left in my deck at the end of the game. |
I had to put something here. |

Game Result
legoles3333’s Noble Leaders w/ Underground Swarm
vs.
my Noble Leaders w/ Archery
Both of our Free Peoples sides set up well in region 1, and we both made it to site 3 safely. At site 4, I killed Denethor, Faramir, and Aragorn with archery. He played 7 minions at site 4, but I used Noble Leaders to prevent Boromir from being overwhelmed, and then played the Mouth and Mumak Commander at site 5. I used the Mouth to play 2 Howdahs, and then discarded them to corrupt Boromir. Good game! |

See, THIS is why I’m in no rush to play you again. I know I have to face THAT deck next. |

True. But remember: we played Expanded, and I chose to use a Standard legal deck. Plus, you used the Gates of the Dead City + Dark Fell About Him combo. My deck = Standard legal and not broken. Your deck = Not Standard legal and operates on broken loop. And I wouldn’t call it creamed, either. I seem to remember that your fellowship was the virtual Titanic and my archery was the iceberg; only, you didn’t sink fast enough before you pulled off the loop. |

i’m looking for a game with anyone who can host. i see AP, SM, and dain are logged in. i’m assuming dain is at work, but anyways...
i built a new deck, inspired by SM’s deck (although it’s not even similar, lol), and i’d like to playtest it.
pm me if you are interested.

Game Result
macheteman’s Gandwarves w/ Pumped Uruks
vs.
my Beasts w/ Corruption
My deck started off well, and he had trouble getting minions in hand. I doubled to 3 without a wound, and he singled to 2. I played Radagast at 3, and then tripled to 6 without a wound. He singled to 3 with 7 wounds and 3 burdens. I singled to 7, and easily handled his minions. I decided to double to 8, and he played Uruk Vanguard, which killed Radagast and Dáin. In hindsight, I could have assigned him to Gimli with Dwarven Armor and just added burdens, and then still have Dáin to use at site 9. I forgot the Armor, though, and Gimli had 1 wound and Durin had 3. He singled to 4 and nailed my minions, then stopped. I played Ring of Fury on Gimli and then moved. He had twilight, and he played 3 Uruks. I killed Breeding Pit Conscript with Durin, which left the two 7-strengths to face Gimli. It was 14-9, and he played Brutality with the remaining . He had 4 copies of Suffered Much Loss down, so it made it 23-9. The Armor saved me, though; Gimli couldn’t be overwhelmed unless his strength was tripled, so I escaped by a 4-strength margin. Good game! |
