Exert a Ring-Bound hobbit twice (or spot 5 burdens) to cancel a skirmish involving a hobbit.

Put a period after Stealth. No need to capitalize "Bound", and capitalize "hobbit" both times. Hey, the card was nice, so I had to get picky. Wink

Each time the fellowship moves to a forest site, you may add 1 to heal a companion.

Not bad, not bad. 5 burdens isn’t unheard of, especially with a Hobbit RB.

Good! As I’ve learned, Hobbits don’t work with threats much, but that’s okay.

Not quite sure why this is a stealth card, though.... Think

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

One, I needed more stealth cards. Laughing

Two, the picture I envisioned for this card was when Frodo and Sam are in Mordor, hiding under a rocky precipice, and Sam offers Frodo some lembas.

Thats how it was in the movie, anyways.

Sounds like most people are fine with those cards, so I’ll move on. If you want to tell me they’re great, you can still go ahead and do so. Very Happy

Since I’m still in the stealthy mindset, I’ll go on to Gollum next.

Gollum 4R - 4U - 7C

So.. the split will be

2R-2U-3C FP
2R-2U-4C S

FP being free peoples, S being shadow.

I need to leave soon... but I’ll put up one or two cards for now.

0 *Smeagol, Vessel of Fate Gollum FP
Companion
Strength: 3
Vitality: 4
Resistance: 5
Ring-Bound. Stealthy.
To play, add a burden.
Each time a card requires you to any number of threats, you may add that many burdens instead.
Skirmish: Exert Smeagol to play a stealth event from your discard pile. Then, remove that event from the game.

1 Acquired Talents Gollum FP
Event * Skirmish
Stealth.
Make a Ring-Bound companion strength +1 for each stealth card removed from the game.

Interesting. Maybe limit it to Gollum stealth events, though that probably isn’t necessary.

...oh. Interesting. Yeah, I’d definately limit Smeagol’s ability to Gollum stealth cards, then. Also, I think "acquired" is missing a C. Smile

Nice gametext, and the Skirmish ability is nice...although it’s a fairly powerful combo with Smeagol and the next card...

Sweetness, I’d say. Plus it gives an extra +1 for being a Stealth event.

make it or vice versa IMO(not worded like that though)

I’d like to keep smeagol’s ability on any stealth event, seeing as how he is meant to pair with the stealthy hobbits... especially with that first ability. Hobbits don’t have much threat removal, but they definately have burden removal! Unless he’d be too good...

New cards coming... eventually.

...and here one is!

0 *To Catch a Fish Gollum FP
Condition * Support Area
To play, spot Smeagol.
Response: If a stealth event is played, exert Smeagol (or add 2 threats) to also play another stealth event that is removed from the game. Then remove both events from the game.
0R49

Too powerful? It probably is. How could I make it more workable?

Instead of "each time" it should be "if". OR you can drop the "Response:" and leave the rest as is.

My other suggestions:

- Exert Smeagol each time you use the ability. This way you can’t easily abuse this event several times in one turn, and can’t keep using it even if he’s dead.

- Raise the cost to something low, like 1 or 2. Perhaps make it 3 and add a toil 1 instead.

- Limit the ability to Gollum events. If you DO use Shire events, make sure it’s the same culture each time somehow (so you’re not giving Gollum event text to a Shire event, for example).

I like the idea, though. GP
