I made one more change. It’s not at all like Naith Longbow, though I may be forced to go to that if this still doesn’t work. What do you think now? |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

Well, chiefly, I wanted them to be splashable--especially with the culture and the revamped Men--since they will be a much smaller culture overall than other FP cultures. They have a big chunk of Lasting Alliances and pop up in the other sets, but realistically, if they weren’t splashable they probably wouldn’t make it in a real LOTR TCG since they don’t appear outside of my sets.
They share many qualities such as healing and pretty good archery. Where they are unique is that they can become pretty strong and win lots of skirmishes, especially at certain sites, and do a good amount of capturing (and rescuing prevention).
So in a nutshell, their biggest strengths are archery and capturing, with strong skirmishing and healing mixed in. They’re very versatile. |

I like that idea a lot. I’d like it as an archery event...but not for the bow. I really like having a bow that can heal. So is the bow okay as is, or does it need further tweaks?
As for the event, how about text like this?
Archery: Discard a ranged weapon and a captured minion with X vitality in your support area to make the fellowship archery +X. |

Hm...maybe. Maybe have it (the event) exert x elves and discard a minion of vitality x to make the archery +X. Then you could use this weapon to moderate it to the archery necessary.
As for this weapon, good, maybe make it Legolas, Greenleaf-ish, like give them exert to wound, or better yet, exert to exert. |

How about this, NB?
Greenwood Longbow
Possession • Ranged Weapon
Bearer must be an Elf.
If bearer is a hunter and is at a forest site, bearer is an archer.
At the start of the archery phase, if bearer is an archer, you may make the fellowship archery -1 (to a minimum of 0) to choose one: heal bearer; or exert bearer to exert a minion.
Made of dark wood and carved in the style of Númenórean longbows, the bows of Mirkwood are infallible and deadly weapons.
I like that even more than the original, myself. How about you? |
