I think I’d rather this be a unique condition that you discard in the maneuver phase for the effects. The idea of being able to play four of these at once.... *shudder*

I raised the cost to 1. This card would be a dud against decks that don’t use skirmish events, so I think it’s balanced now. Any other opinions?

Well, it also shuts down archery events and assignment stuff, but fair enough.

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

Shadow archery isn’t very commonplace, except for Elevated Fire. Actually, it would just make the toil of Elevated Fire even more effective. Razz And I don’t think I’ve even seen an assignment event in a deck before. Think

Yes to maneuver, but not regroup, since it only lasts until the regroup phase.

2 • Thief Barrel-Rider Shire
Condition • Support Area
Tale.
Each time a Shadow player plays a minion, you may spot Bilbo and add a burden (or exert a companion) to make that minion unable to use special abilities until the regroup phase. That minion’s owner may make that minion strength -2 until the regroup phase to prevent that.

1 Lazy Lob Shire
Condition • Support Area
Maneuver: Spot Bilbo and discard this condition to make each minion skirmishing a Dwarf strength -1 until the regroup phase (or -2 if that minion is a Spider) and make each Dwarf resistance +1 until the regroup phase. Limit once per phase.

The cost of the ability needs to be clarified. I would put on the card ’To play, spot Bilbo’, then have the cost ’you may add a burden (or exert a companion)’, that way what I think you intended is totally clear. Nice card, and not as broken as the faithful stone! Might make it 2.

Spot Bilbo and discard a Shire card from hand to make each Spider skirmishing a Dwarf strength -1 until the regroup phase and make each Dwarf resistance +1 until the regroup phase.

Take out the Shire card bit, it doesn’t seem that good. I also have issues with it only working against one race.

I’d go for 2 cost. Thumbs Up

Well, if nothing else, it’s a good resistance booster for your Dwarves. I think I’d like it better as a condition that you could use once per maneuver phase, since it’s so specific.
