NappyKorn’s Possessions w/ Site Control
vs.
my Hunters w/ Archery
I managed to play Mumak Commander + Pavise twice early in the game, and his fellowship took a beating. I moved safely to site 3 without much trouble. He moved through region 2 with a lot of flak from my arrows, and I finally took him down at site 6 with 9 archery. Good game! |

this is macheteman, i created this account because AP doesn’t check his e-mail very often, and i was trying to get a game, and now he wants me to report. anyways here’s how the game was. i think.
AP’s dwarven junk/dunland junk
vs.
mm’s total deck screw junk
my deck was 90 cards big, and i was playtesting to see what to cut out. he set up pretty well all round. i couldn’t play a souron minion for the first 5 sites. that’s how bad my shadow set up, and my dwarves couldn’t get possessions on until about the same time. so i thought the game was over at site 1. lol.
in the end, i almost decked him out and corrupted him with that card that spots 5 burdens and no cards in draw deck, yadda yadda, but he managed to discard some of my crucial cards, (and i accedently discarded 2 cards, thinking they were different, that would have taken 10 of his cards away.) a tough game, but i was really happy with how things turned out, and after a tweak and a diet, my draw deck screw with be wicked. methinks. he got to site 9 and won.
good game. |

Game Report:
My: Elven Telepathy/Captain Crunch
Vs.
AP’s Dwarven Discard/Site Control Dunland
Both FP’s set up rather fast. I grabbed Gandalf, MoW and Elrond, WtH in the first hand along with Radagast, TB. The Forearmeds and Sauron, TLOTR soon after. My shadow did little to AP’s massive dwarves. I was able to kill off his Thorin at site 3 with a Red Wrath, but knew soon after I couldn’t win with my Shadow. AP’s Shadow, on the other hand, was quite effective. On average, he would play 4-5 minions per site. I thought, around site 6, he wouldn’t have many minions left to play. I was wrong. He kept throwing Dunlending Elders, Hillman Hordes and Frecas at me all game. Luckily for me, Elven Telepathy usually wins the battle of brute strength. With Sauron, TLOTR, Forearmed and Celeborn the Wise, I must have played 10 Forearmeds during the course of the game, allowing me to win key skirmishes and making the double move much easier. I was able to keep ahead of AP throughout the game. I doubled from 7-9, faced a Horde and 2 Elders at site 9, but had 3 Forearmeds in my hand and Sauron on top of the deck. I came out with the win against a most gracious host. Thanks again for the game AP. |

No no, Captain Crunch refers to the Easterling Captain/Raider Bow/Polearm/Red Wrath and the like. Captain Crunch is also referred to as "Beasterlings" in some LOTR circles. Sauron is in the deck strictly for the Telepathy. Small Hope drops his cost by a couple, but I don’t realistically expect to play him with any regularity. I agree though, if it was a Sauron-based deck, Grimbeorn is the peanut butter to Sauron’s jelly. |

Game Result
NappyKorn’s Men w/ Wargs
vs.
my Hunters w/ Beatdown
Both of our fellowships set up slowly, and I killed Brand in region 1. I followed and managed to finally play Aragorn at site 3 with The Prancing Pony, but took a couple of wounds.
And then the carnage began. I started to drop 2-3 minions per site, and his entire fellowship was exhausted by site 5. I used Black Gate Sentry to kill Ghan-Buri-Ghan, and then I easily moved to 5 behind him. At site 6 he gave me twilight. I played the Underling, and then Orc Crusher for free. I followed it up with Mocking Goblin, and then managed to play Sauron for only ! He survived with Gandalf and Treebeard though, then he killed a Guardian and Glorfindel with a mounted and pumped Orc. He moved to 7 and I played the Sentry and Mumak Commander. He used an event to kill the Commander but the Sentry gave Gandalf 3 wounds. I followed him into 7 and he played another mounted Orc, but I took care of him with Glorfindel. He moved to 8 and I played the Gothmog and Ugluk, and the archery killed him. Good game! |
