macheteman’s Hobbits + Gandalf w/ Pumps
vs.
my Discard w/ Men
He went first, and I played 1 minion and a couple of conditions. He took a wound and stopped. I singled to 2, and he couldn’t play any minions. I doubled to 3 and Lurtz gave me 3 wounds. He singled to 3 and Sam died, plus Glamdring and a Hobbit Sword were discarded. I singled to 4, took 2 wounds, and stopped. He followed me to 4 and I played 3 minions, forcing Frodo to be assigned. He was overwhelmed 9-3, and I set a new personal record for earliest win on the site path. Good game! |

OneFathom’s Noble Leaders w/ Threat Nazgûl
vs.
my Hunters w/ Multicultural "Stomp-theBlood-Out-of-Your-Veins" Beatdown
We both abused each other in region 1. I gave him 8 wounds and he gave me 10. In region 2, I managed to exhaust his entire fellowship, but he played a couple more companions. He gave me some more trouble in region 2 with threats, and I lost an Elven Guardian. He singled to 7 and took a few wounds, and then decided to risk the double into 8. He did, and Boromir ended up 1 burden shy of corruption, but 3 companions died, leaving Aragorn, Elendil, and Boromir. I singled to 7 and he could only play one Wraith, which was shot down in the archery phase. He played a couple of Saplings and Pallando and moved to 9, giving me twilight. I played the Gothmog, Orc Spear, and Morgul Creeper for , and then managed to play Sauron with the remaining twilight. The archery killed Elendil and Aragorn, leaving my 3 minions to face Boromir. His start-of-skirmish text killed him, but we went ahead and played out the skirmish for fun. He used Noble Leaders and Footman’s Armor to pump Boromir to a 28-strength! At least he saved himself from being overwhelmed, as I won the skirmish 55-28. Good game! |

The blood was literally "stomped" out of my companions...sheesh maneesh. Great game!! More of a standard Noble Leaders FP though, no knights involved. Until next game... |

Now someone can relate to my misery.
Not fun, was it? It just kept getting worse...and worse...and worse....
I think it’s just impressive we both lived (somewhat ) to Site 9. |
Best regards, Dáin, Vice Aftokrator of the Chosen Ones
Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

On the contrary, it was probably one of the most fun games I’ve played in a while. I appreciate playing a game against a tough opponent than just mopping the floor against somebody. Sure, it’s no fun when your comps die, but they hung in there to the very end, something which I was extremely proud of. Dervorin and Throne of Minas Tirith came up big for me...just not big enough. |
