I was going to wait and post these tomorrow, but what the heck?
Since The Road Ahead has only 2  companions, there are several cards in the set that help them work with other cultures. (That’s something could probably use a little more of anyway. ) Here are some of them. Enjoy!
 Fierce Defense
Event • Skirmish
Exert 2 Men to wound each minion assigned to skirmish those Men.
“Boromir and Aragorn slew many. When thirteen had fallen the rest fled shrieking....”
Well, alright, this first one is purely , but it fits well with the other two, so.... 
Sharp Affray
Event • Archery or Skirmish
Exert a Man and an Elf to make each Orc and Uruk-hai strength -1 until the regroup phase.
Legolas and Aragorn felled many goblins with their bows before they ever broke through.
Let’s Hunt Some Orc
Event • Maneuver
Exert a Man and a Dwarf to make each of them damage +1 until the regroup phase.
“‘We must follow the Orcs, if there is hope that any of our Company are living prisoners.’”
EDIT: And yes, EL is correct. for you, my friend. 
EDIT 2: A couple more.
 Hold True to Each Other
Event • Skirmish
Spot a Man to make that Man, a Dwarf, or an Elf strength +1 for each Hobbit you spot (limit +4).
“‘We will not abandon Merry and Pippin to torment and death. Not while we have strength left.’”
 He Cannot Stand Alone!
Event • Skirmish
Choose one: exert a Man not assigned to a skirmish to make a companion (except the Ring-bearer) strength +3; or exert 2 Men not assigned to skirmishes to make a companion (except the Ring-bearer) strength +5.
“‘Elendil!’ he shouted. ‘I am with you, Gandalf!’ `Gondor!’ cried Boromir and leaped after him.’” |

Boromir and Aragorn? Sweet. I bet those are the two companions. I bet you have an elf, a dwarf, four hobbits, an a wizard as well.
Generic ability is nice. Defender rocks.

Would lower the limit to 4, or 3 and make it cost but cool none the less.
