At the start of each maneuver phase, you may add to play a possession on Hadhod from your draw deck.
Though he later became better-known for his travels with Men and Elves, Hadhod’s journey began when he traveled with his kinsmen to Rivendell.

Can I first point out that ’Hadhod’ is Sindarin for ’Dwarf’!
A rocking remake of Gamling. My worry is that he’s too expensive to have that kind of ability - I’d want to start him, and if he costs I’m almost certainly not going to.

sweet. at first i thought this was perfect. but then i read Than’s comment and i agree entirely. this kind of companion is the one you wan’t right out in the begining, so may i suggest an alteration of stats.
twilight:
strength: 5
vitality: 3 (or maybe 2)
the other option i thought of is that because so many people like the natural choke of the dwarves and their free possessions, maybe keep the stats for the most part, reduce the twilight cost, and make it exert hadhod instead.
anyway’s, just some ideas.

I’m loathe to change his stats, since those are the stats of his The Third Age versions, but I did the next best thing. Let me know how that is now. or ?
Since I’m struggling with Dwarves at the Council right now (and was spending time working on the FPCA), we’re going to switch over to the Dwarves of Moria for bit. We’ll get to the actual Dwarves soon, but for now, here’s some of their support stuff. Enjoy!
•The Return to Khazad-dûm
Condition • Support Area
Tale.
Each time the fellowship moves to an underground site, spot a Dwarf to take a artifact or tale into hand from your discard pile.
“‘We drove out orcs from the great gate....We have taken the twenty-first hall of North end to dwell in....Balin has set up his seat in the Chamber of Mazarbul.’”
•Wonder of the Northern World
Condition • Support Area
While you can spot more Dwarves than minions, each minion is strength -1 for each of the following that is true: it is skirmishing a Dwarf; it is a minion or an Orc; it is at an underground site.
At the start of each Shadow phase, each Shadow player may draw a card (or 2 cards if the fellowship is at an underground site).
“‘Some spoke of Moria: the mighty works of our fathers that are called in our own tongue Khazad-dûm; and they declared that now at last we had the power and numbers to return.’”
Stairs of Khazad-dum (reprint)
Condition • Support Area
Tale.
While a Dwarf skirmishes a minion, that Dwarf is strength +1.
“‘Moria - Khazad-dûm! Greatest of the dwarf-halls - What I would not give to look upon its treasures!’”
I know, I know...another reprint. But with being so big again in this set and Lasting Alliances, I couldn’t imagine NOT having a card like this. |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

Nice up cost to 2.

Needs a better pay off for the sahdow as that is a seriously awesomely powerful card mate.
