Yep. I further delayed, but alas, no more entries.

Well...show must go on.

Each time a minion is played you may exert Balin to exert that minion.
Response: If a stealth event is played, discard a Dwarven card from hand to cancel the effect of that event and discard it.

Damage +1. Hunter 1.
Each underground site’s Shadow number is -1.
While at a mountain or underground site, Balin is strength +1 for each other Dwarf you can spot (limit +3).

To play, spot a dwarf. While at an underground site, each dwarf is strength +1 for each dwarven token you can spot (limit +2). While you can spot Bilbo, Balin is resistance +2.

At the start of the maneuver phase, you may exert Balin and spot 2 other dwarves to reveal the top 2 cards of your draw deck. Take one revealed card into hand and discard the other (or put it on top of your draw deck if the fellowship is at an underground site).
Fellowship: Discard a Dwarven tale to heal Balin (limit 2).
Balin Fundinul Uzbad Khazaddumu.

Muster. When your opponent plays a minion, you may discard a card with the same twilight cost as that minion from hand to exert that minion. You may do this only once each phase.
Despite his age, Balin was famously sharp-eyed, and used by the questing Dwarves as their look-out.

Stealth cards are traditionally FP. Decent exertion ability, though, but I’m not aware of any minion stealth. I also woulda made it 5/4 with his exerting ability.

Remember Gimli, Dwarf of the Mountain Race? I think this is bordering brokeness, especially considering how easy it is to get him up to strength 9. Stats of Gimli, Eager Hunter, ability of Gimli, Dwarf of the Mountain Race - 1, hunter, and he’s not even Gimli! Why not use him?

Great ideas, just a bit OP.[/b]

Token fun. Each dwarf strength +2 is a nasty ability, but I think its balanced by rather weak abilities in other aspects. Balanced well.

Love the tales. Gloin, Friend to Thorin was a half-baked deck, but with healing and cycling from Balin, plus brute strength from Gloin, and whatever other dwarves, it could be a good deck.

Underpowered. I don’t really see his ability being used...at all. I guess cycling, I woulda cut the twilight cost match and upped the limit, then it would be worth it.

I wasnt bothered about the second part regarding gameplay. I tried to capture the feel of him being their look out man. Bilbo earned his respect because he crept up on him (but only because he used the ring because Balin was great at sentry duty), hence the cancel a a stealth event and exerting a minion when it gets played.

Hmmm nice idea but could have been executed better, maybe 3 cards or something would have been better.
