Yay, more reviews. Thanks guys.
Dáin’s DC Duos #73
It’s late, but not TOO late, so here’s the final couple Elf weapons. Enjoy!
Blade of Mirkwood
Possession • Hand Weapon
Strength +1
Bearer must be an Elf companion.
While at a forest, river, or sanctuary, bearer is strength +1.
Though primarily archers and spearman, the Wood-elves are quite proficient in making and using swords akin to those of their brethren in Lorien.
Just your typical Elven sword. This one doesn’t go with the fancy-schmancy abilities of other blades...it goes right for the jugular, making it pretty easy to get up to +2 strength. It’s guaranteed to be +2 for at least two sites during the game.
Banner of the Forest
Possession • Hand Weapon
Bearer must be a Elf companion.
Each time bearer wins a skirmish, you may spot a archer to exert a minion.
Response: If bearer wins a skirmish, discard this possession to liberate a site.
“They bore with them the green banner of the Elvenking...and they advanced until they stood right before the wall at the Gate.”
Following in the tradition of other banners, which make a grand return starting in Lasting Alliances. This is one of the big archer-spotting cards I mentioned that Mirkwood Arrows can really help out with. |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

Nice, but similar to Blade of Lindon.

Cool, but add ’you may’ for the exertion.

Dáin’s DC Duos #74
Okay, moving right along. Back to characters for now, and introducing a keyword that hasn’t been seen on an Elf since back in the Fellowship block. It might seem weird to have it suddenly pop up again, but in the case of the Wood-elves, I thought it was appropriate. Let me know what YOU think...enjoy!
•Ithilden, Mirkwood Scout
Companion • Elf
Strength: 5
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 6
Ranger. Hunter 1.
At the start of each maneuver phase while the fellowship is at a forest or site 7 [LA], you may exert Ithilden to play a Elf from hand. That Elf’s twilight cost is -1.
“They dwelt most often by the edges of the woods, from which they could escape at times to hunt....”
•Rinavar, Mirkwood Scout
Companion • Elf
Strength: 5
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 6
Ranger. Hunter 1.
At the start of each archery phase while the fellowship is at a forest or site 7 [LA], you may exert Rinavar or add to make him an archer until the end of the turn.
“...would from time to time ride out to hunt, or to other business in the woods and in the lands to the East.” |

Make his special maneuver...kinda underpowered as it is. But a surprise maneuver elf wound be sweet, cuts the cost for playing him, cuts the cost for moving, etc. If so, maybe add "that companion is an archer until the end of the turn." and cut the twilight reduction...

Nice. In keeping with Rumil and Orophin

I don’t quite follow what you mean here. Are you saying add instead of exerting him?
Let me know what you meant. I’m going to move on for now, though. |

yeah I think exertion for one more archery, and only at certain sites is to heavy. if it was wound a minion maybe though. |

Okay. I’ll change it to a choice between an exertion and adding . |
