Tale. Each companion gains the Elrond signet.
At the start of each maneuver phase, you may exert Elrond to make each character with the Elrond signet strength +1 until the regroup phase.
“‘In those days of our tale there were still some people who had both elves and heroes of the North for ancestors, and Elrond the master of the house was their chief.’”
I would raise the cost to . Cool idea!

If the fellowship is at any site 3, each time a minion is played you may exert an Elf with the Elrond signet or an ally whose home is that site to wound that minion (twice if that minion is an Orc or Uruk-hai).

I would lower the cost to . Nice cards! |

Well I went with AP’s suggestion for the first card and NB’s suggestion for the second.
Question: should Master of the House be unique? |
Best regards, Dáin, Vice Aftokrator of the Chosen Ones
Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

Well alrighty then. Done.
NB, may I ask why you think the card is too powerful and screams "abuse me!"? |

Changed Master of the House as recommended. Thanks, SoP!
Dáin’s DC Duos #151
We’ve hinted at allies in a few of the cards, so you probably knew some were coming. And here’s a couple of them. And yes, while the lore is directly from The Hobbit, these are made-up names. Enjoy!
•Súrion, Elf of the Valley
Ally • Home 3 [LA] • Elf
Strength: 4
Vitality: 2
At the start of each turn while the fellowship is at a sanctuary, you may heal a companion.
“‘It is drawing towards dawn, and you have slept now since the night’s beginning. Tomorrow, perhaps, you will be cured of weariness.’”
•Alassë, Merry Elf
Ally • Home 2 [LA] & 3 [LA] • Elf
Strength: 3
Vitality: 3
Maneuver: Exert Alassë to make a companion resistance +1 (or +2 if the fellowship is at a river or dwelling) until the regroup phase.
“‘O! What are you doing / And where are you going? / Your ponies need shoeing! / The river is flowing! / O! tra-la-la-lally / here down in the valley!’” |

Good idea, SoP. Done!
Dáin’s DC Duos #152
Well, I didn’t realize we were so close, but this marks the last of the cards from Lasting Alliances. Boy, that was fast.
Well, like every culture we’ve gone through, we’ll revisit the culture once all the others are through and fill in any percieved holes. For now, here’s the last of the Elves. Enjoy!
•Uremir, Rivendell Watchman
Ally • Home 2 [LA] & 3 [LA] • Elf
Strength: 4
Vitality: 3
Fellowship: If the fellowship is at a sanctuary or dwelling, exert Uremir and another ally to play the fellowship’s next site (replacing opponent’s site if necessary). Limit once per turn.
“‘You are a little out of your way...that is, if you are making for the only path across the water and to the house beyond. We will set you right....’”
Nice and Comforting
Event • Maneuver
Spot 2 Elf allies and exert one of them to heal a companion.
“‘Also I was anxious about replenishing our small stock of provisions. I had not gone very far, however, when I met a couple of friends of mine from Rivendell.’”
And consider this next one kind of a "bonus" card, since it’s just an copy of the exact same card we already saw with the Elves:
•Good People
Condition • Support Area
To play, spot an Elf and a Elf.
Each time a card must spot an Elf, you may add to spot a Elf instead.
Each time a card must spot a Elf, you may add to spot an Elf instead.
“...and after the coming of Men they took ever more and more to the gloaming and the dusk. Still elves they were and remain....”
Next time, we get into the even smaller culture. Thanks to everyone who reviewed in this thread! |
