Thanks for reviews!
Time for some orcs I feel.
Theme 1 - For the trolls (see pages 3 and 4 of this thread):
Goblin Captain
Minion ● Orc
Str: 8
Vit: 2
Sit: 4
When this minion is assigned to a skirmish, you may draw a card.
’Look out for the door,’ bellowed the captain.
H1 C 160
And there’s Goblin Slave Driver - the same as above, but 6/2/4 instead.
Goblin Sword
Possession ● Hand Weapon
Str: +2
Bearer must be an Orc.
When bearer is assigned to a skirmish, you may draw a card.
Whistles blew, armour clashed, swords rattled, goblins cursed and swore and ran hither and thither...
H1 R 174
Theme 2 - Delving (or as I prefer to call them, ’Obscene drawing swarm’):
Goblin Tunneller
Minion ● Orc
Str: 5
Vit: 1
Sit: 4
When you play this minion at an underground site, you may remove to draw a card.
They can tunnel and mine as well as any but the most skilled dwarves, when they take the trouble.
H1 C 175
And variants ( 7/1/4 with the same ability)
Goblin Watchman
Minion ● Orc
Str: 7
Vit: 1
Sit: 4
When you play this minion, you may spot another Orc and 6 companions to draw 2 cards.
’We found them sheltering in our Front Porch.’
H1 R 176
●Great Goblin
Minion ● Orc
Str: 12
Vit: 3
Sit: 4
To play, spot an Orc.
Shadow: Exert this minion to draw a card and add . The Free Peoples player may wound a companion to prevent this.
There... sat a tremendous goblin with a huge head.
H1 R 178
Hated
Event ● Shadow
Spot 2 Orcs to draw a card.
’Murderers and elf-friends... Slash them! Beat them! Bite them! Gnash them! Take them away to dark holes full of snakes, and never let them see the light again!’
H1 U 182
There’s more love for the Obscene Drawing Swarm, plus a third theme of the Orcs, which is Wargs, so lots of fun to come!

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. |

Thanks, I’ll treasure it forever.
Just two more to add for really obscene card drawing:
Surprise Attack
Event ● Response
If you have just drawn a card, spot an minion to add .
Out jumped the goblins, big goblins, great ugly-looking goblins, lots of goblins...
H1 U 198
●Darkness
Condition ● Support Area
Each time an event is played, you may draw a card.
Skirmish: Draw a card for each companion assigned to an Orc. Discard this condition.
It was deep, deep, dark, such as only goblins that have taken to living in the heart of the mountains can see through.

Cool. Only problem I see it takes up deckspace, or could clog your hand. Maybe add ’you may exert an to play this card from your draw deck’.

Great card. I’m not sure if the first ability could lead to loops or something. |

I’d raise the cost to at least ...possibly even . |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

Changed the cost of Darkness to . Thanks all!
Seeing Beorn on There and back again put in me in mind of my own, so as a side issue, here’s two versions of him:
●Beorn, Agreeable Host
Companion ● Man
Str: 7
Vit: 4
Res: 8
Damage +1.
Fellowship: If you cannot spot 4 companions, exert Beorn to remove .
’... and you must be careful not to annoy him, or heaven knows what will happen.
H1 C 89
And yes, there’s a nice choke theme with Beorn, but this is the one we really care about:
●Beorn, Skin-Changer
Companion ● Man
Str: 7
Vit: 4
Res: 6
Skirmish: If you cannot spot 4 companions, exert Beorn to make him strength +5 and damage +1. Until the end of the regroup phase, he is not a Man.
’...sometimes he is a huge black bear, sometimes he is a great strong black haired man with huge arms and a great beard.
H1 R 90
And let’s not forget his relation to Grimbeorn:
Great Animal
Event ● Skirmish
To play, exert Beorn and remove a minion in your discard pile from the game. Make Beorn strength +X where X is that minion’s strength.
H2
I’ll get back to Orcs later, but it seemed appropriate to put these up.

seems a little ...basic up his strength to 8

now THAT is a cool ability.

Three exertions makes him a 22 strength and damage +3 beast. I would make it exert him twice.

I would put a limit on it, like +4. Otherwise, you could remove something like Sauron, Nazgul, etc. |
