Curse-bound.
While Grithnir is in your starting company, he is twilight cost -2.
Regroup: Discard Grithnir to discard two minions.
“…Gethron and Grithnir his guardians….”

I would make his regroup ability also remove 2. Neat card! Thumbs Up

When you play Hunthor, you may discard an Snow card from hand to take another Snow card into hand from your discard pile.
“‘Happy was the choice that took you for a helper!’”

I would give him a hunter 1 bonus. Smile

Bearer gains curse-bound.

Maybe add a spotting requirement, like an Snow companion. Thumbs Up

Bearer must be an Snow companion.
While this possession is in your discard pile, at the start of your fellowship phase, you may discard the top card of your draw deck or exert a companion to shuffle this possession into your draw deck.
Fellowship: Discard this possession to reinforce a Free Peoples token.
“He rewarded as he could the kindness of the child, and carved for him the figures of men and beasts….”

Neato! Very Happy

Thanks, guys! Changes made, and gp to AP.
The poll was a tie between Shadow Dwarves and Morgoth/Sauron. Since I have more Morgoth/Sauron stuff finished, I’m picking that one.
Let’s get started with the Balrog Army! I don’t have lore yet for these guys, but I’ll get it eventually. These are, BTW, going to be the cheapest and weakest of the Balrogs.

8 Valaraukar Destroyer Sauron
Minion – Balrog
Strength 14
Vitality 3
Site 5
Damage +1. Toil 1.
To play, remove a threat.
Each time this minion wins a skirmish, you may exert it twice to add a threat.
"...a Balrog came behind him..."

7 Valaraukar Ravager Sauron
Minion – Balrog
Strength 11
Vitality 3
Site 5
Damage +1. Toil 1.
To play, remove a threat.
The Balrogs of Morgoth tore the armies of the Free Peoples asunder.

2 Black Axe Sauron
Artifact – Hand Weapon
Bearer must be a Balrog.
Bearer is Damage +1.
While bearer is damage +X, bearer is strength +X
"Gothmog hewed him with his black axe...."

I’d drop the damage bonus to +1 and raise the strength to 11. Thumbs Up

Just out of interest, what’s Valaraukar? Works for me.

Looks fine, but I warn you I’m terrible at gauging the balance of high strength high cost minions!

Rephrase that more like honed or orkish hunting spear, you wouldn’t put an X on a strength boost. ’While bearer is damage +X, bearer is strength +X.

I look forward to more balrogy fun!

Thanks, guys! Very Happy
Note: "Valaraukar" means Balrog (I think... I may not be spelling it right. Oh, well.)

More Balrogs, plus something which hopefully makes them playable, even with their high cost.

10 Valaraukar Crusher Sauron
Minion – Balrog
Strength 14
Vitality 3
Site 5
Damage +1. Toil X.
X is the number of threats you can spot (limit 2.)
While you can spot another Balrog, this minion is fierce.

0 Hosts Of Angband Sauron
Event – Shadow
Spot 2 Sauron minions to play a Balrog from hand. That Balrog’s twilight cost is -4.
“Gothmog, high-captain of Angband, was come….”

11 *Gothmog, Lord of Balrogs Sauron
Minion – Balrog
Strength 18
Vitality 4
Site 5
Damage +2.
To play, exert a Balrog twice.
Each of your other Balrogs is strength +1.
“…He drove a dark wedge between the Elven-hosts….”

12 *The Balrog, Second Lieutenant Sauron
Minion – Balrog
Strength 14
Vitality 4
Site 5
Damage +1. Fierce. Toil 1.
The twilight cost of each Gandalf card is +1.
The Hero is strength -1.

^ Note that this guy is just "The Balrog" because I wanted him to be the same one as in LotR. Odd quirk of mine, as none of the other cards have any sort of synchronity whatsoever with real cards.... (Gothmog Balrog, Gothmog Orc; Mablung Elf, Mablung Gondorian....)
